The problem that I had in the past with this project was that only a few people ever met the deadline. I am willing to give the project one more go. I will need at least one artist and at least four permanent writers. The writers should be versed in at least one system of magick, and have a basic understanding of other forms. Other writers can of course submit their own works, but I need at least four staffed writers. If you are interested and think that you can meet deadlines, please email me at [email protected] with some background information about yourself. In the email please provide your full contact information as well, including yahoo address (if applicable), msn address (if applicable), physical address, and your phone numbers. If you have some topics which you would like to write about than please include those as well, but keep in mind that you will often be assigned topics. Once I have at least one artist and four writers, I will post it here as well keep this thread updated with our progress.

QUOTE(Edunpanna @ Dec 19 2006, 06:59 PM) faeries on Dmt. Now that sounds like a real trip. Has anyone ever figured out how to get one of those little people to cough up a pot of gold? If so please contact me immediately with exact location of the fairy ring. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/bones.gif) "Machine Elves (also known as fractal elves and self transforming machine elves) is a term coined by the writer and philosopher Terence McKenna to describe the entities that he claims one becomes aware of after having taken tryptamine based psychedelic drugs, especially DMT. According to McKenna, their constant dance creates the reality as we perceive it. By following their dance, one can stay in contact with the Logos, a subconscious world of spiritual and other information. The description is similar to the Hindu Dance of Shiva. Many people have claimed to have encountered such entities, and have described them as abstract beings existing in the universe created from human and animal mental space. The term "DMT Space" has also been used. There are numerous references of such encounters that could be found in many cultures ranging from shamanic traditions of Native Americans to Indigenous Australians, to African tribes, to the modern day "Urban Shamanism" like Santeria and Vodoun and the "new breed." This is something that Timothy Leary used to describe the rising generation of urban shamans, who would, he claimed, augment the spiritual awareness of the modern world. This concept may be related to a tendency for the brain to imagine living entities during certain altered states. The best example of this is the extremely common feeling of a living presence during sleep paralysis (which has been theorized as the origin of the succubus, as well as a common theme in many alien abduction stories). Another example would be the widespread experience of a "Salvia Goddess" encountered by users of Salvia Divinorum. However, Terence McKenna and Rick Strassman have both asserted the sense of reality of the experience is distinct from ordinary hallucinatory experiences, leading both researchers to speculate that perhaps the physics of many worlds is involved. These entities are a common theme of psychedelic trance musicians like Shpongle. Space Tribe created a track (TIP Records, 1995) entitled "Machine Elf" containing a voice sample of Leonard Nimoy saying "Visual contact established. Requesting permission to land." Mark Poysden and Stefan Osadzinski released the album "Bitone" in 1995, under the name of "Self Transforming Machine Elves". The sleeve features an image of what a Machine Elf supposedly looks like." If you talk to the old Irish they will talk of this dimension. The DMT experience even in other cultures brings you into this world where they see elves sowing our reality. Forget what you heard about the americanized version of Irish myth. Look to WB Yeats

QUOTE(Frater F.A.M.E. @ Aug 17 2006, 04:19 AM) Actually, an occult comic strip would be fun! Is there something like that in existence already? I mean a truly occult cartoon, not a cartoon with occult influences (which are largely cheesy, but fun, lol)? Like a strip where a conjuration goes wrong, and he/she summons a Demonic Smurf or someshit. Something goofy based (loosely perhaps?) on reality, I don't know, lol! Yeah, a comic would be funb (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) -F.F. There is a comic called "Oh, my gods." Have you read it yet? http://ohmygods.timerift.net/I think the author, Shivian, is still in Chicago. I used to know him when he hung out in Southern Illinois.

QUOTE(Ashnook @ Oct 26 2006, 08:24 AM) Ive not worked on the zine in some time though I do still have a few articles saved. My reason is that there were only maybe 3 or 4 people who submitted any work at all. While I am not "sore" at anyone, the magazine can't write itself (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . I might be interested in picking it up again at some point soon though and seeing if anything picks up so to speak. If I do decide to go at it again I will take Bym's advice and keep a (IMG: style_emoticons/default/00000047.gif) with me. I would also layout what articles are needed and have certain people in charge of specific tasks. Let me brain storm on this for a day or so and Ill post something up. P.S @ White Chaos, I did indeed recieve your articles and for that I thank you very much. LOL, I'm so glad they actually made it, I sent you an email for ID verification through the email address you recently gave. After I get a message saying that it was you then I'll definently give you an application in full. I hope this magizine does well.... then again I am a witch I can just make it do well, lol jk.
