Do we have any guitarist on the house? What kind of songs do you play?

I mostly enjoyed playing accoustic songs like: extreme's-more than words, led zeppelin's-stairway to heaven, eagle's-hotel california, metallica's-nothing else matters, rick price's-if you were my baby, bryan adam's-I'll always be right there and the likes.

I'm currently looking for Extreme's awesome accoustic version of "love of my life" tab - originally artist: Queen. I figured out the intro tab about 4 years ago and now seemed to forgoten almost a whole lot of it due to lack of practice. I seemed can't find somplete tab for this song (by Extreme) anywhere online - being lazy to trying to re-tab it and be willing to purchase the musicsheet if anyone can pinpoint me to the right direction please?

Anybody can pullout Maroon 5's "Harder to Breathe" smoothly? Pretty funky beat!

I've been playing guitar for about 2 and a half years. I also play keyboards and bass, I can hold down some basic drum beats, and I'll sing if you hold me at gunpoint.

I mainly use this DIY guitar a friend put together for me as a gift from random parts stuck in a gibson studio body that sounds lovely, and I also have an ibanez gio. I've also got this acoustic guitar someone bought from a marlboro(yes the cigarettes) catalogue and gave to me years ago, and it somehow sounds surprisingly full and rich.

I play pretty much anything ranging from mariachi to metal just to improve myself but I enjoy playing punk and alternative stuff probably the most. I listen to a lot of underground music and I try to play pretty much everything I hear. I really enjoy messing around with tunings, and particularly enjoy playing those older Dashboard Confessional songs that are in that really bizarre tuning (maybe i'm just out of the loop, but I've never seen it anywhere else).

I also like taking parts of songs that aren't on guitar and putting them on guitar. The Beverly Hills Cop theme comes to mind.

I've been in two bands prior to the projects i'm working on now, one of which being this sort of silly mariachi/blues/alternative thing (if you've ever heard of Against Me it sounds kind of like that) and an experimental Nine Inch Nails-ish thing with a guy who used to play drums in one of the bands I was in.

I've been playing guitar for four years now and I'm in a metal band with a friend from work and my buddy from school. We have a metal cover of nirvana's territorial pissings, we covered hatebreed's last breath, and we have a few originals.

Kinjo, I don't know if you've ever used mxtabs.net for tabs, but I think I found that extreme song here.

Any Dave Matthews Band fan here?
I'm thinking of purchasing a brand new classic guitar in a few months, anyone knows what guitar and amps used by the band in their awesome accoustic sessions?

Thanks for www.ultimate-guitar.com link Zaii! I found most of their tabs there, 380 in total: Dave Matthews Band Tabs

hi ... i'm not a guitarist but my husband is one ... http://myspace.com/chrisclermont
he knows all about tabs and such ...
he sometimes even teaches ... http://guitarmentor.blogspot.com ... when he's not too busy playing out in the world
he has several band projects ... http://myspace.com/blackpantyhoes and http://www.funkthis.biz
anyway ... i think that's enough about him ... as this is my first post, its to be my introduction ...
i suppose introducing "my better half" isn't such a bad thing to do, and i'll start my own thread for a proper introduction.

I've played guitar also for just around four years now. My fist musical loves were the classics, Hendrix probably being my favorite to listen to and play, but it's impossible to say exactly what style of guitar I like best, like it is for so many others, since there is so much out there. Honestly I guess as long as I can play it, any music is better than no music, so I play all styles that appeal.

That was very sweet, too bad we don't get to hear those as oft.

Back to topic...

I'm not a guitarist, but I like metal.

I'm a professional bassist and drummer but also play guitar, double bass and banjo................ Does screaming count?
I'm very into heavy metal [Death, Black, Power, Doom and Folk metal is my favorite] so I work on my guitar I use flashy leadwork a lot with whammy and harmonics, tapping, sweeping and the like. I try to learn good music that will challenge me techically.[Necrophagist, Childom of Bodom, Slayer, Vaderm Dragonforce]
For bass and drums my [main axes] I mostly focus on reading music and groove.[More fun then it sounds] I also try to make sure I'm using new styles all the time so I keep myself I ahead of the game. Variety one of most important thing for a session musician.
