Greetings to all,
I am making this post to ask a very straightforward question. All my life i have been fascinated by this concept of invisibility; if it exists and if its possible. And so i ask, does anybody here know if can be done? Any thoughts on this topic will be most appreciated.

Thank you

Nope. When you see in grimoires "Makes one go invisible", it usually just means to go un noticed...But that doesn't mean someone's not going to see you if you jump in their faces.

Invisability is not litteral. But it is possible to master the art of stealth and seem invisable. Ninja would spend their lives learning the art of Stealth. You might find something interesting about stealth.

It is possible conceal your presence from the notice of others to a great degree through a combination of misdirections and energy manipulation. As others on this thread have said, you are still visible, but most won't notice you.

One method is to shroud using something like the Rose Cross ritual which shifts your energy frame out of sync with the cardinal points. Another involves drawing energy from the Qlipoth and darkening your aura. The second method is dangerous and can alter your energetic balance if it is sustained.

I agree with everyone. I think most of the invisibilty magick stuff are basically mental and dont mean physical in any form. Its still kind oif neat though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I wonder how illusionists do that trick though. of diappearing from one place and almost instantenously appearing at another place...

I do agree about invisibility being mental, but the science experiment result called the Philadelphia Experiment creates doubts in my mind and open new possibilities.
QUOTE
Source. The alleged experiment was conducted by one Dr. Franklin Reno (or Rinehart) as a military application of Albert Einstein’s unified field theory, or “generalized theory of gravitation.” The theory, briefly, postulates the interrelated nature of the forces that comprise electromagnetic radiation and gravity. Through a special application of the theory, it was thought to be possible, with specialized equipment and enough energy, to bend light around an object, rendering it essentially invisible.

With the Philadelphia Experiement I believe they use some kind of machine for invisibility. I read somewhere that they believe the machine might have been capture from some alien space craft???? (I'm not 100% sure on that though.) Its interesting though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Everyihing I heard about the philadelphia experiment was that the information about it was intentionally done released to draw attention away from the government's real project - the atomic bomb. Which given the time in the mid-40's would have seemed almost just as alien. I think the government sorta shot itself int he foot because now we can't really trust what the government is doing or howmuch of anything is a front and whats real. Roswell might have been just another elaborate example of the government using mis-information and contradictory statements to confuse the people and ultimately nobody was able to really *know* anything for fact.

I do remember seeing once some program about some future soldier who's armor would be made up of millions of reflective mirrors to produces a chemeleon effect. But thats about as close to invisibility that I know of that has been actually released.

My uncle worked in intelligence during the cold war and he told me that the government is about ten years more advanced in technology than they let known to the public and the technology they sell to other countries is actually already obsolete to what they may (or may not have (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) already produced.

Greetings!
Well now...I have a small contribution to add here.
I was really working hard on a magical talisman that would help to confer 'invisibility'. I created a ring made from lead and inscribed the inner surface with a Latin motto. I used lead because I wished to utilize a Saturnian influence... and lead was readily available.
I formulated a series of rituals and magical operations to carry me through the construction phase of my project. The result was a finger ring made of lead with a partial skull sculpted as a bezel. The motto was inscribed on the inner side. It was time for a trial run! I slipped on the ring and intoned the mantric words of the motto. It got visibly darker in the room. I took off for a walk. As I traversed the county road from my house to the store I didn't notice anything unusual. I felt abit down that the experiment wasn't too successful. When I reached the store I went into the drugstore and perused the paperbacks. Finding one I liked I then went up near the counter and waited to be noticed.....and I waited....finally, in full sight of the clerk behind the register, I walked out of the store, holding my purloined copy of the book in hand! Noone saw me! I went home, determined to write the entire incident down in my journal. Again, nothing worthy of notr on the mile long road home...save a melancholy that seemed to weigh on me. Most likely a guilty conciousness over ripping off the book! Ah well... The ring ended up in a box of occult accoutremon' and was forgotten until one year later...
I was boasting to some friends about an 'invisibility' ring that I made and we all had a laugh about it. Next day I unearthed the thing and took it with me to show my friends my handiwork. We were all meeting at the University lounge to wait for my sister and my parents to show up when I displayed the ring. I placed it on and again the room seemed to get darker. While we were sitting there at a table nearest the door entry to the lounge when my sister appeared and looked around the room. Her gaze never stopped at our table! My parent then showed up and, seeing mt sister, they hastened to join her, now sitting 2 tables away from me and my friends! We (me and my friends) were amazed! I took off the ring and immediately my sister noticed us and waved over thinking we had just walked into the room! None of them saw me or my friends! ..and they had to walk right by us! The room was not dark anymore.
I noticed that while wearing the ring I was 'overlooked' by others but also that I was suffering from an acute melancholia which I now believe came from the Saturnian influence. The inner inscription, in English, was: Light change to Shadow. I realize now that it was a very stupid thing to do....but, at one time, I had made an Invisibility ring. btw....the ring was stolen from me years later. The crook who stole it commited suicide. So much for Saturnian influence!
Magic can be done...it just isn't what we expect! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/black eye.gif)

(Note: I've eliminated your quote of my subject as I had just written it and it was redundant...thanks, ModSquad)

That was very interesting Bym, I shouldn't underestimate the power of creativity. Do you think it would be a good idea to experiment with such things? perhaps creating an invisiblity spell? Or do you think it would only waste time?

Im more than willing to try creating things myself.

Nice thread

Thanks Deathstalker!
I should only hope that you(all) will move into creatively using Magic! Yes, I think a spell for Invisibility could be great fun and have some merit...even though you may be only utilising misdirection or cloaking, etc. The foolish thing I did was to use a planetary influence that was improper for the operation. Now if I had used a solar or a lunar planet... or used the current of the proper diety (ie Nephthys), things would have turned out differently. I may just have another go at it afterall! Creativity should be allowed outlet and Magic is more than an apt way of using it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/Lighten.gif)

Well....I did alot to the ring! I designed it, sculpted it from casting wax, poured the lead using the lost wax method and then consecrated it formally after I cleaned its rough edges up...all the while casting 'spells' and 'incantations' into it.
If you aren't making the object then you must really concentrate on the object with great intensity/obsession. Alot of power is involved in the creation act. Just make sure about what you want, the form which will convey the desire(d)(result), and all the important bits about linkages (if any) with spirit and or the proper influences, etc. I suppose that I could outline the exact procedure but that wouldn't be any fun for you(all) who wish to make a go of it, now would it? *grin* As much as I might preach about 'following the rules/recipe' , Magic is all about how you interact with your universe, it's different for everybody! That is why there are no real 'schools' for Sorcery. Get to know the backgroud/drop of your setting, then fill it (or not) with your props.
Sometimes magic is nothing more than miming archetypal creation 'plays' and living with the consequences. *sigh* Too much info for this small thread! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Very interesting post. Thanks Bym. I think I will get a friend to cast the jewllery itself and then try to do the consecration on my own afterwards. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
