Past Lives, How to learn about them? Options

What are the ways one can learn of his/her past lives? I've heard dreaming is one, though have no way of knowing how 'tis possible to find out through dreaming. Meditation? I think 'tis very important to find out about past lives as its a vital way to figure out who you are and maybe the past knowledge can help one in a magickal way as well. Any insight?

I've only had one experience with a past life, and it was induced by a sincere prayer to Death (the goddess herself) to help me not be afraid (overall, not of anything in particular). That night I had an OBE that translated swiftly to me being inside a previous body.

Death rules over the Astral world. Exactly how or why, I'm not sure, but I know that death is synonymous with the moon and the 9th Sephirot, Yesod. I can also tell you that OBE's feel like dying, just without the severing.

Of note, recollection of previous incarnations (a subtle but distinct difference between "past lives" as told by a Buddhist author) is a symptom of enlightenment.

All that said, I think the relation of previous incarnations to this one is overrated. I think I need to get the shit in front of me sorted before I go sorting out the life of a dead guy, eh?
