Hello all:
I understand that a tool to stray from the Elder gods and call the Ancient Ones is a sword that has killed 11 men. (Not interested in that one)

However there is another place in the book where reference is made to blood sacrifice, and it seems to relate to a normal practicioner. In his epilogue the mad arab says (pg 206):

'Know that the four Beasts of the Spaces claim the blood of the initiate, eachin their own time and season'

1) What does that mean? are those the same beasts for the cardinal points described in pg 190?

2) I take it to mean that blood sacrifices should be made to them, on a particular day. Is this correct?

3) Or does it mean that as part of the initiation or walking the path we must fight them and be 'bloodied' by them?

P.S in page 207 it says no sacrifices to be made if one finds out that a gate has been open (as the fiends will feed on it) this implies that the normal sacrifices are by spilled blood. He mentions 'the flocks of Palestine' as possible sacrifices... What where they, sheep, cattle?

4) Does any one currently praying to the gods uses animal sacrifices? (chickens, squirreles, etc) or since not necessary it has been left behind as not 'politucally correct'

Any thoughts in this subject are appreciated..

Traveller.

For me spilling the blood of animals are done by cowards who dont have the courage to spill their own bloods. Spilling blood gives off lots of energy and this is used by the entity to manifest. Those who might be having some self dignity would spill their own as its they who will benefit from that not the chicken or sheep they are slaughtering.
well some might claim that they after wards cook that animal and eat it, but are you sure you killed the animal properly etc?
anyone might come with something like telling me in very ancient manuscripts its written etc etc, and i would still say that those dudes who wrote those manuscripts did not have balls :-)

So that was my point of view. If any magician does animal sacrifices and feel that i have offended them, then you are right i offended you and if you are not done with that, i got 2 words for ya (IMG:style_emoticons/default/5.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif)

yeah, cause a santero who sacrifices a chicken in a ritual then uses the chicken in a feast for the God is a coward? yet the concentration camps of chickens being" killed properly" in the farming industry is fine an dandy, and picking up that chicken meat at your local supermarket without having to kill it is not cowardly. pfft.

ya dude but i mean to say that the original intention to killing the animal is to use its blood as sacrifice when according to me its the one doing the ritual who needed to spill his blood. When for a ritual they ask for sperm then these dudes dont do like wanking the animals to get their seeds but as it brings pleasure, those dude do it themselves..i got carried a bit when posting that reply cause here lots of people do evil by sacrificing blood of animals to demons etc. Some even kill humans kids for the blood, so i got carried away a bit emotionally.

Sorry I should not have gone into blood sacrifices in general, I know it has been discussed in other posts...

What I really want to concentrate on is the Four Beast that 'claim the blood of the initiate' I take this to mean its my own blood.

1) Has any one encountered the 4 beasts?
2) What does the above mean? That is, Do I sacrifice to them? or Do I fight them and then they claim my blood by injuring me?

I dont want to come close to making even a bread sacrifice to some 'bad' entity... So are they the good guys or bad guys (Ancient ones).

They seem to be related to the gates of the N,E,S and W gates.

Traveller

Again sorry for starting a discussion on animals sacrifices in general, got carried away.

Hi Traveller. Hey dont worry about my words. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) they were not directed to you dude. I was just giving my opinion of what i think of blood sacrifice of animals. I got carried a bit on that i guess. LOL. Its just that for me i would not sacrifice an animal to have the energy to empower a ritual of mine. if needed i would better use my own blood for that. I dont say i dont eat chicken or sheep. But killing an animal to shed its blood for a ritual is not something i would not do. But i dont know now to what extent the nec encourages or discourages this as i am still novice but let the more experienced ones reply.

Its real good that you try to learn on all these stuff. Hopefully to answer your question on the 4, the more experienced Nec magicians will help you out.

Take care Traveller and be blessed.

Actually it was a good question so appologies are not in order. The 4 beasts are not related to the 4 directional gates. The 4 cults are cults of the ancient ones and are evil. They should not be sacrificed to. If you want to sacrifice a chicken and you plan to eat it later I do not see anything wrong with that as long as you are sacrficing to good dietys. If you are going to sacrifice dogs and cats like the sicko Satan worshipers from my hometown then I think that is sick. I have actually considered beheading a chicken before in the rites just to see what would happen. The major problem with that for me is I am not sure how you pluck clean and prepare a chicken. Kurban is a Turkish holiday after Ramadan in which lambs are sacrificed and the meat is given to the poor. Last year we paid for one to be sacrificed for us and I plan to this year also. Certainly sacrifice is not evil as long as the offering is not meant for something evil such as the 4 beasts of the spaces. The 4 watchtowers are something different. By closely studying the directional gate conjurations it is easily discerened that East gate = Inanna South gate = Marduk West gate = Nergal North Gate = Nanna. Offering blood sacrifice to them I have no problem with. The 4 beasts as relates to the 4 evil cults of which you speak is something which would have been better placed in the Urilla text. No man can serve the forces of light and the forces of darkness at the same time. Even if you buy a chicken to be sacrificed one thing to consider is that even if you do not buy the chicken it is already doomed. The chicken is gonna die and end up in someones belly no matter what. Alot of people who have never hunted or lived in the country might go nuts over sacrificing a chicken although they eat chicken all the time with no complaints.

Peace

thanks Smasher. I learn from your words.

I got carried away by the fact that in my country lots of people use animal blood sacrifices to the demons mostly....

QUOTE
Know that the Seven Spheres must be entered in their times and in their seasons, one at a time, and never the one before the other.

The doctrine of the Ascent of the soul through seven successive stages of being or consciousness originates with the Babylonian myth of Tammuz and Ishtar and is memorialized in the seven steps of the Ziggarat. Later, this doctrine appears in the POIMANDRES of Hermes, the royal arches of Enoch, the seven heavens of St. John's REVELATION and Mohammed's NIGHT JOURNEY TO HEAVEN with the angel Gabriel.

QUOTE

Yes, they are the four spirits of the spaces on pg 190 in the urilla text of the necronomicon.

They are also listed in ST. John's REVELATION

" * IV.6: And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal; in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, there were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
* IV.7: And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle."

Sounds similar to the urilla text huh?

They are also listed in the book of Daniel Dan 7:17 "These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth."

Many bible scholars say Daniel 7 is about the rise and fall of four kingdoms, the first being the one of BABYLONIANS.

The four beast show up in myth when destruction and change is going to happen.

QUOTE
Know that TIAMAT seeks ever to rise to the stars, and when the Upper is united to the Lower, then a new Age will come of Earth, and the Serpent shall be made whole, and the Waters will be as One, when on high the heavens had not been named.
