I was wondering, are the goetias directly linked to the christian form of satan/lucifer? Basically what I'm wondering is that if goetias exist, is this proof of god/satan? Or are they a totally seperate entity from that? Does saying gods name to them have any sort of affect? or are they prechristian?

I've been looking into summoning andromalius to return some stolen goods to me, but after reading how complex some of the results have been, i know that I am not yet prepared, I intend to begin studying the lesser keys of solomon but I do not know what else I should be studying, where do i find the LBRP, what techniques can I use to empower myself or learn to see more energy?

The LBRP can be found in the First Knowledge Lecture of the GD on this site.
Golden Dawn Lectures

The other question involving the "goetias" is largely incoherent. Read some of the other threads in the Goetic Spirits section in the forum and you may find some answers.

Peterson's
Twilit Grotto
gives the best overview of various grimoires, including the Ars Goetia.

Some of the questions you are trying to ask have been discussed ad nauseum although perhaps someone would like to regurgitate these ideas.

You will need to learn some basic magickal techniques in order for the Lesser Keys to make any sense. For now simply put them aside and forget them. The library section of this site has a large amount of information to get you started.

thanks for your replies, I realize that my posts have probably been asked many times and have gathered annoyance, but I appreciate that you still replied. I will look over the guidelines tonight and I wont make any more of these pointless posts

that golden dawn site seems like a good place for me to start reading

the only problem ive encountered thus far is that theres such a wide range and variety of schools of magic that I dont even know where to begin and which are linked with/work with eachother

You don't have to be with a school or group; you can use their information and put them all together, see what's best for you. I used to want to join a group too, but sometimes they can slow the pace down for you. Try to get something out of every group, but go the path alone, no need to commit yourself to a school or group.

It is party time for you now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif) All I can say here is to read, read, and read some more.

Speaking as a demonolator, and a theistic satanist...I would NOT advise using the Goetia to summon daemons. 1) It is very rude and instead of asking the spirits to come to you, it commands it. 2)It uses Christian elements, this is highly disrepectful to them. E.G-trying to contain them using Michael or Gabriel's name. 3) Do NOT disrespect them by commanding them to do something for you. I warn you, if you try to use any of the above techniques, you are asking for disaster. Demons are very friendly, but they will not be bossed around. Just wanted to let you all "Goetia" people know that.

1.) I agree but there is no reason why the Goetia can be employed while changing the wording of the calling.

2.) You presume that the Goetic spirit care about Lucifer/Jehova? That is a bit of a stretch in my opinion.

3.) I believe that spirits of all kind should be respected, but one should not be foolish enough to believe that they are all as good hearted as the easter bunny. You also say that "Demons are very friendly." This statement is a bit too general has certainly there are some who are friendly and others who are not.

Have you summoned Demons before?
