Has anyone thought of having a servitor learn some form of martial art in order for it to defend itself

Would it not be hard to have a servitor learn a material art the creator dont understand the philosophy of, material arts is more then kicks and punches, there is a magick of its own behind those moves usualy and I happen to think it is the philosophy more than the moves that make said material art effective.

A servitor is a part of you...Therefore if you know martial arts then it knows martial arts...as long as you can picture it knowing martial arts and being good at them..then it will know martial arts and be good at them...a charging ritual to give an already created servitor this power is really simple..

Whatever works best for you...

First what kind of Servitor would need to defended it-self. Since most servitors are made for only one or two tasks.
That said If you wanted to teach a servitor martial arts. One possibility is to create a spy/watcher servitor. Designed to go out and observe one or two martial arts groups. And to absorb the energy and knowledge of the group its watching. The other benefit of this servitor is when you re-absorb it you absorb all the energy and knowledge that it has absorbed.

The other possibility is the attach your servitor to group mind of say the monks or the shin-obi. I would suggest that you use symbolism from the martial arts you want it to know and try making its sigil from the grid of the nine finger cuts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blablabla.gif)

Watch some Human Weapon episodes, pick the moves you like and "teach" them to the servitor?

It may be my take or imagination of astral/ servitor plane and how servitors work, but I don’t see the point.

I see them as a construct of will, and thus any force of will that is focused on their destruction or neutralization would take them out. Evasion, stealth and subtly are better traits for them, then martial arts.

If however you want one for this, I would imagine modeling them after any videogame character with the adequate moves that you desire would be sufficient.

I have never ventured into the higher creation realm. Those you probably want some measure of defensive capabilities. But again, if it does not fit into what you are doing, I do not see the point really.
