Interesting Dream (need Help) Options

I'm posting this in hopes that someone on this board is well versed in dream translation or could at least give me some insight into the symbolism of which I experienced. Ok, on to the dream. Basically it is a dream within a dream.

It starts out I am with a group of maybe 8-10 guys, 4-5 of them I know personally and could properly identify. We are in some type of tunnel or underground cavern thing. We are all obviously soldiers, dressed in fatigue & carrying weapons/whatnot. We are walking along as a troop when we discover 3 men against a dead end wall. Before we can react one of them fires off some type of mortar/ explosive device & kills probably 3 or 4 guys & injures quite a few others. As you can imagine, we gun them down & then my dream gets kinda hazy like & next thing I know I am back at that same place with just 1 of the guys, who I know. We are no longer dressed as soldiers & we actually morph into dogs. We walk past the 3 dead enemies bodies which are still there & straight up to the wall/ dead end. Strangely though it is not a complete dead end because the wall does not run all the way to the ground. Its like another miniature tunnel that we couldn't have gone through in human form. We go through & again the dream gets a bit hazy then next thing I know we are both in a cavern/ underground type room with some type of cages/ prisons build into the side walls. Inside of those prisons are some type of strange very dark animal with red creepy eyes. They are of course growling & making threatening noises at us, but standing in the room is a woman, topless, with a cats head. She gives us some type of wand or mace which has a dogs head at the top of it. Im not sure if it was a wand or a mace it seemed like it could have been used as a physical weapon, but at the same time it had a wand like look to it. She told us to leave this place & that we passed the test, but it is far from the last one. She had an almost threatening tone when she said it & I did experience some slight fear. I then woke up from that dream back into the first dream & I was sleeping in a home/barracks with those other soldiers. I told them about the dream & they were freaked out & very interested. That is when I actually woke up.

Sorry to write out so much but I wanted to try & get all the details I could remember down. I must note I had a vague sense of accomplishment when receiving that dog wand/mace, but I cannot remember what it was we accomplished. Thanks for the help!

Well a Dream inside of a dream symbolises your emotional state at the time.

Are you going through issues in your life which worry you?

Do you feel that you need your friends (judging by those guys) need to nurture you and help you feel more secure? maybe more secure about yourself?

Well I can see that you're going through a lot of emotional distress and want your friends to help you either feel secure or nurture you, and you're trying really hard to overcome a certain problem or problems in your life.

You seem to have found rage over this situation... because rage can come from despairity sometimes, perhaps your friends are not as helpful as you'd like them to be, or you feel lonely in this emotional situation.

Perhaps you know that this is a personal problem and no one can really help you, so you're trying to help yourself. You don't need friends, you stand strong and will fix the problem with confidence.

You feel that that you can trust that one guy, is he a close friend?

Animals usually represent your other emotions, and if they're in cages perhaps you're hiding those emotions from yourself and/or others. Perhaps you need confident and fervourish emotions (like a wild animal), to either overcome fear or the situation you're going through. Perhaps you know you're alone and no one is really going to help you, and you need to be strong and dare I say a little violent and beast-like in order to overcome a situation you fear, because of the loneliness.

Im not too sure about this one, it may mean many things depending on your own subconscious mind. Now if you're a cat lover, perhaps that cat may symbolise good fortune. As for the woman, she could resemble care and/or your own care for yourself, self-care. But it can also mean that you have to stick to your masculine side for the feminine side can get you in trouble.

She certainly is a dominating figure to you, and you feel you should listen to her as she has power, obviously more than you at the time. Do you have a lover in your life? are you skeptical about her? do you feel she has certain power of love over you?

Again, the dream inside the dream only goes to show how emotional and deep you felt about the given situation.

I would believe you have recently started something new in your life. If this is something down an magickal path I would start looking at who's eyes you've got on you.

I would have to agree with what has already been said, but as far as to what I see out of it, I would have to say you seem to have issues with trusting people. (That's coming from a personal, un-trained opinion.)

You are very right about some trust issues, I wouldn't say it controls my thoughts, but its in there for sure & something I'm still working out to this day. Also thanks again DeathStalker for your indepth analysis.
