Hi, I was curious on what people think of electricity used during magick (like headphones and a CD player, or something). I know a lot of people think electrical energy interferes with the magickal energy of a ritual or whatever, but others think listening to music strengthens them. Does anyone know any evidence to the contrary of either point, or have any personal opinion? Cheers

Well, it depends on how powerful the device is and how much energy you put out. I can't even be pissed off and listen to my mp3 player at the same time, because it starts electricuting me. But from time to time when I'm in ritual I listen to some tracks from the wolf's rain OST .... but the player is on the other side of the room and not on me. A good rule of thumb that some of my friends go by is "keep it out of the circle" but I've had friends that have personal CD players within the circle and it apparently does nothing. I guess it depends on the person.
