I'm currently practicing nocturnal witchcraft as per Konstantinos "Nocturnal Witchcraft" (oddly enough...), and i have a concern.
When doing some of the visualization training to help with skrying, i find most of it too easy. The animated tarot exercise (for those unfamiliar with the book: basically taking a tarot card and imprinting it in your mind, making it go from blurry to clear, and finally making it move in some way or "animate") was too easy, i found that i was able to easily picture the focal point on the card i had chosen (Which was the, i presume, ladys head on "The Universe" from Crowley's Thoth deck), and just as easily "animate" the card, or make it blurry or clear as i wished.
With the "phantom lights" exercise (again, for those unfamiliar, focusing on a single candle and seeing the "lights" around the flame itself, then either A: getting a vision through these lights when you can focus on them, or B: molding them into other shapes while, again, going from blurry to clear), it was just as easy. I've always been able to do what he described, and can remember doing it with any light source available when i was younger (mostly when i was bored dureing class....).
So my question is this: Should it be this easy or am i not getting the "full effect" or am i simply doing something wrong?
A little more backround info:
I am a very avid reader, and i absolutley love to read any sort of story. I've been reading since i was very small, and over time i've developed, subconciously i think, an ability to create a "movie" in my minds eye when i read. I no longer see the words on a page, its as if my subconcious is reading the words, creating an image, and sending it to my conciousness as a finished "picture", and it is doing it so fast, this "picture" becomes an actual "movie". I'm almost positive this has something to do with my ability to visualize things, but again, I am not sure.
Any help and/or input would be greatly appreciated.
