Disturbing Dream Options

At the mloment I am preparing to evoke the entity Bune, which will be my first Goetic summoning. ( I posted about this in the Goetia section )
I'm currently peparing the ritual itself and I have started to peform the LBRP every day and have just started on the LBRH.
Anyway, two nigts ago I had quite a disturbing dream that really scared me, to the point where upon waking I had to have the light on for some time afterwards. i cant remember in great detail but basically it seemed magical themed and at one point in the dream I was in some sort of garen with a building nearby and it seemed I was almost running around aimlessley. In this garden, and after me it seemed, was a small girl, no older than 10 years old ( probably alot younger than that ) and she was trying to get hold of me. There seemed to be something really sinister and dangerous about her which I sensed but i was certain she wanted to do me harm. After this, I was still in this garden place when the girl changed ( in the dream it was night time throughout ) and standing before me was a female who was dressed as a nun. However, the top of her nun outfit wasnt that of a usual nun, this one went up into a long point, pretty much the same as a KKK thing. The nun face was that of a demon, I dont mean anything like a Goetic demon, I mean what people normally associate with a real evil demon - hissing, jet black eyes, etc. This demon seemed female, and there was another person with me ( I cant remember who ) and I showed this other person some sort of metal Talisman on a chain which I held in my had. i showed this to the demon, and also made this demon aware of the penrtagram of solomon hung around my neck ( which shades of yellow (?) ) and the demon said to me " They wont protect you"
At this point I woke up, and when I came back to reality I was really shook up, scared and had to keep the light on for a bit. I still felt, in those few seconds after waking, as if I was in danger and there was something there. It was a really, really strong feeling that something was there, and thinking about it, I've found myself in that situation alo of times befoe in the past upon waking in the middle of the night. After that I was totally reluctant to fall back to asleep at all. Does anyone have any ideas what this is about ?

Your intent for the past couple weeks has been focused on the spirits of the Goetia...well, the channel opens both ways. Things will go bump in the night!

In the future do a banishing ritual such as the LBRP and you’ll be able to resume sleep.

Perhaps this dream was a subconscious reminder to take this upcoming evocation attempt seriously. Perhaps, you have haphazardly approached this subject like one would a small child, only to find that the child is really a monster... You see what I’m getting at? Or perhaps, the spirits of the Goetia are simply playing with your head- testing your fortitude and conviction.

My point is that only you will know how to interpret this dream. Put it in context with your life and what you have been doing. Be honest with yourself. Are you taking the Goetia too lightly? Are you ready for what you might face? Use this dream to assess your current level of preparation.

The demon is right! Talismans as with words only carry meaning when the magician understands that he and his tools are no more than an antenna for the divine Will. The objects themselves won’t protect you; it is what the object represents, the power behind the symbols that make you invincible to the demon. Understand this and familiarize yourself with your tools and you will be all right. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) With regard to you asking if am taking the Goetia too lightly, I would have to say that definatley NO, in fact if anything I think I'm taking it too seriously. Every spare moment I get is spent working on my "project".
I find it interesting that you suggest that only I can intrepret the dreams meaning and I have to say that I totally agree with you.
I have not yet actually contacted any Goetic entities, as you kow know I'm hoping to be working with Bune soon so maybe this has something to do with him and if so it should makes contacting him easier if he is already aware on me - if that makes sense ?

It is good to know that you are taking this seriously. I wasn't making any assumptions, just posing questions for you to ponder.

Sure it makes sense...I don't know if the demon in your dream is Bune, but the point is that by focusing your energy on the Goetia you are in a sense inviting these spirits into your life.

You may want to try to establish astral contact with Bune prior to actually evoking him. Meditate on Bune's seal and see if you can make any partial contact in this manner. After a few days place the seal under your pillow before you go to sleep. Ask him to come into your dreams. By doing this you put yourself in control of the situation rather than being a victim to it. Furthermore, these lighter forms of contact will strengthen the communication between you and Bune and make the actual evocation much easier.

Thats an excellent idea, I'm going to get onto that straight away. It's good because I need to do everything in my power to make this ritual a success so if this will make it easier to evoke him then so be it.

ps. The goetic demons do not like the use of solomon magickal circles and/or symbols when summoned. Try to establish a connection with them prior, and don't threaten them with Holy names that are encouraged in modern grimoires.

Goetic Demons aren't actually as bad as people think, they're in the least sense trying to harm anyone, but if you're to use threatening symbols and names against them they will become menacing.

But I don't know your "past" so to speak, so it's up to you.
