Malphas Options

Hi All!
Just a quick question - I haven't seen anyone here talk too much about Malphas, and can't find too much information on him other than the usual Goetia blurb about him...

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with him of could perhaps offer any tips about him (such as does he like any particular offerings or the like?) and perhaps expand a bit on the whole "...will accept offerings happily, then deceive the sacrificer..." ?

I feel drawn to him because of his abilities of psychic development (particularly reading the thoughts and desires of your enemies!) as well as any familiar he might bestow, his abilities to draw artificers and hopefully increase my ability to make sigils and the like... and his apperance as a crow! hehehehe...

I am a noob when it comes to Goetia, and as I said, feel drawn to Malphas in that he might be able to help me develop my psychic powers and magical abilites. I have been meditating for quite some time (2 years or so) as well as practising martial arts and chi kung (for 6 years) and have recently developed the ability to see chi auras intermittantly, and I have also had some experience (albeit not much!) with astral projection and would love to develop these abilities further!

I am preparing to develop my abilities: I am now practising the LBRP, BRH and MP and moving eventually to try and evoke some goetic spritis when I feel up to it as well as feeling drawn to the Necronomicon as well... I am/will be using material from this website - its a great resource! A pleasure to meet all of you!

I will warn you, if you will reference my last post concerning Paimon Azazel, that for the most part goetic familiars will consume. The trick is to assign them to useful tasks. For this reason I have begun work with Ars Paulina. Remember, you are always in complete control.

good luck to you. keep trying to evoke Malphas. If it doesnt work give the licence to depart and try again the next night. and the night after and after that keep doing it. then It will get better and better and you will have stronger experiences.

Halphas and Malphas are responsible for writing the Goetia itself, according to Muslim esoteric lore. In Northern myth they are known as the ravens of Odin.

Their names, MOLIT (Ma-AH-leet) and MALPSh (Ma-AL-Peesh) come from root words meaning "elevate" and "restless."

I will keep trying, but as I said, I'm still focusing more on my development in other ways as well, such as Middle Pillar and energy circulation and stuff, but I will try again soon!!

Imperial Arts - thanks for the info on Malphas! Very interesting link to the Norse mythology there! Also seems like a good call to connect with Malphas if he was a writer of the Goetia as well! Sounds like he could be a great help with learning and developing power, knowledge and wisdom! All I gotta do is contact him now! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Nill - thanks for warning on familiars - i will have to study more on what poweres you can get from familiars and how to feed them and such! Can you get them to feed off universal energy rather than personal energy (like when generating elementals or servitors)? That could be part of the bargain perhaps?
