Skrying Tool, position of.... Options

Hi all, quick question. What is the best position to place to place the skrying tool? I'd be using a crystal ball, I have the most success with it. Should it be inside the Triangle, or on the inside edge of the Circle on th side of the Triangle?

It depends on what you're doing. If it's conjuring a spirit into the scrying device, place it inside the triangle. If it's scrying for the sake of scrying, it really doesn't matter. I'll often hold the ball in my hands in that case. I just have to remember to wipe it down with alcohol afterwards to remove any fingerprints I may have left on the item.

you would use the mirror with the triangle for evocaton outside the circle and the crystal ball inside the circle for invocation. It would be kind of hard to do an evocation with a crytal ball unless it was really big.

using something to scry inside the circle works really great. I've always gotten great results with that, and it makes the presence of the spirit more noticeable. Try scrying with a jar of holy water, for example (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Well try a black mirror, inside the triangle,with the triangle tilted to the back a bit.
also remember to fall in trance first.and totally relax.
