I acquired astral wings when I was a bit younger. I've been on the move ever since, from place to place.
As far as wings, wings? As in, feathers and bones coming from your spinal column? I think this was actually a question posed before on this forum, amazingly enough, a while back.
I believe we concluded that no one in -recorded- history has possessed verified wings. Who knows though, right?
besides, wings on people wouldn't be very useful, humans are not very aerodynamic.
peace
ps. Also, according to my contacts, granting you literal wings is beyond the scope of an angel or demon's contextual power. They are concerned with the subtle systems of existence, not drastic biological changes. A geneticist, now, he might give it a try.

Hey!
Just a few points that came off the top of my head.
The wings would have to be huge to achieve lift, you would probably never go inside a house or car again. Then you would have to account for placement, one place would be between your shoulder blades. If that was the case you would have to reconnect your pectorals to your new wings, which would limit the mobility of your arms, severely(why we didn't evolve wings in the first place). Or grow new flight muscles, which could be placed over your traps and wrap around over your lats to connect under your pecs (it would roughly follow the pre-existing template of how the pecs connect to your upper arm)... I believe that genetic tampering on this scale is currently considered unethical, so you would be hard pressed to find someone to do this procedure.
If we lightened the wing design (bone structure) the strength would be compromised, and the wings would easily break. Take the femur for example the epiphysis is porous, Spongy bone that contain red marrow(produces red blood cells). The Diaphysis is compact bone, it's hollow, and full of yellow marrow, it's build to support your weight. I can't decide where to take weight from, but since blood cell production is essential, I would assume we would turn the compact bone in to spongy porous bone, no more breaking cinder blocks, so more slam dunks, one short fall and you'd shatter your hips, ribs, and collarbone, where before you would just sprain a wrist. There is a reason birds have brittle bones.
I wouldn't mind having wings, I just don't think it's probable at this time, granted what we're doing with mice and jelly fish(did you know they have a million dollar mouse, and mice that glow in different colors at UNMC) it's possible, right now [/u]really really unethical.
Plan B: summon an angel and ask him (please be kind and summon a male) to "take off his shirt"... from there you could examine him and take notes on a design for yourself.

There are different types of wings that can manifest, in a sense. There are the basic bisymmetrical pair, a quad, a '6pack' as i call it, and sometimes 8 or 10. Usually the 8 or 10 denote a different type of spirit altogether. Bisymmerty is typical amongst humans. Some have more. in the 4-coupling class, they come in a quadrant arraingement, or a layered arraingement (a 'la X-men). In the 6-pack/seraphim class, they can come in overlapping layers like a wing carapace, or in the hexagonal pattern typical of that class. From there, varieties come in shape. Some resemble that of a dove, and eagle...others, like mine so I have observed, resemble more of that of an albatross. The middle right one had a bend at the end, like a broken bone, and after some meditation and discussion, found it to be my astral "pimp hand." (IMG: style_emoticons/default/whip.gif) I have not witnessed an 8 or 10 form. And THIS is just angelic-archetype wings. Others may resemble that of a bat, demon, gargoyle, dragon, phoenix, fish scales/fins, metallic partitions and sections....the possibilities are endless. At least, this is what I have found. No there are no physical manifests as of yet, so this is purely astral. although, at one point in time, my back muscles did bunch up alot at those points. For about a month those knots stayed in my back.
