(IMG:style_emoticons/default/yahoo.gif) WOW!

All the artwork on this thread is AMAZING!

I draw black and white illustrations of Avebury, Glastonbury Tor, Stonehenge, Castlerigg Stone Circle etc ... but cannot draw faces or people or any of the entities which I see ...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/shok.gif) I AM IN AWE of you all!!!

If I could fathom out how to post pixs on here I would let you see some of my creations ...

Incidentally ... my Avatar is the FACELESS DRUID ... which is the sole illustration I have done to date which has a person in it!

absolutely fantastic... do you use a smudge stick for softening edges and shadows or have you a different technique?

[QUOTE] Thanks guys .Banalon Reborn , For rendering I always use a very sharp pencil . My pencil of choice is the Faber Castel Polychromos Black for black and white Illustrations , its a little more expensive but very easy to use , basically the pros far outweight the cons , I recommend you give it a try .

The following portrait is primarily done with a smudging technique , after softly applying some compressed charcoal over areas that required toning i used a tissue paper to smudge it in , when I'm satisfied I use a Kneadable eraser to clean it up and bring out the highlights . Check it out....

Mr Merlin , "I am in all of you all !!!" , Are you suggesting that I have a multi personality complex . If you are , I dont . Its obviously not a typo , what are you saying , its coming across as being simply weird.

You seem to have captured the essence of the cat in the colours, nice one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
