Greetings netzgewebe, QUOTE(Edunpanna @ Dec 31 2006, 03:58 PM) Greetings'netzgewebe,
The agga mass ssaratu should be lit at the word Kakkammanunu the last word of the fire God conjuration.
Namtillaku Kanpa! I answered your question above. You light the agga mass ssaratu. That is the sacrifice bowl for the Bandar. You must be confusing the Directional Gates Braziers with the agga mass ssaratu. For Necromantic workings do not open the directional gates. The Watchtowers will work against you in operation. The four watchtowers power may prevent Ganzir from opening altogether. Unless you are refffering to the brazier on pg 38. If you have a Brazier it is better to light it first via the fire God Conjuration and the the Bowl during the Bandar Invocations. Having a brazier is not crucial to the work. For example when Gate Walking I have found it more trouble than its worth two keep fire going in 4 directional bowls a brazier and the agga mass ssaratu. Thats six fires to watch and make sure they dont get out of control. I have found that candles work fine for the directional gates unless it is windy and then I use a rubbing alchohal based fuel <As charcoal is out of season.> I rarely use the brazier. If I do I just load up the charcoal grill and make a huge fire. I usually do this if I am giving a huge sacrifice only. This post has been edited by Edunpanna: Jan 1 2007, 07:34 PM

Let me see if i understood: First we do god of fire conjuration Then we lit aga mass ssaratu Baad Angarru! Ninnghizhidda! Thee I invoke serpent of the deep! Open Ninnghizhidda! Open that I may enter! Ninnghizhidda spirit of the deep Watcher of the gate remember! In the name of our father before the flight Lord and master of magicians open that I may enter! Open lest I attack the gate! Open lest I break down its bars! Open lest I leap over it by force! Open the gate lest I cause the dead to rise and devour the living! Open the gate lest I make the dead outnumber the living! Ninnghizhidda spirit of the deep watcher of the gate open! May the dead rise and smell the incense! Then what do you mean by burn the bread? the rest i get it, what's confusing me is the burn the bread and the lit the fire thing from the beggining, please help (IMG: style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif)

Hi all! Just a quick question, from a newbie, so not trying to be disrespectful or anything! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/hmm.gif) I am interested in the Calling of the Dead for many reasons - a main one being to learn from them... Would it be even possible to call on the Mad Arab (i.e is he still around, reincarnated, was he totally destroyed, did he even exist, did he use false names or something else?) and ask him for teaching on the Nec and magic in general? Maybe even ask him what he did wrong?! He could be a great source of knowledge! Just a thought! Sephiroth

Greetings,
It's absolutely possible to call the dead. And I do so on a regular basis. The most efficient and effective method I've found for this is to begin communing with the Fifty Names spirit Namtillaku. He is the Lord of the Dead and can grant you the power to communicate and work extensively with them. And by 'communing' with Namtillaku I mean to summon him every day and sit silently after asking him to fill you with his essence. Afterwards just burn some incense to him in thanks, (a mix of patchouli and pine works very well here). As for calling the Mad Arab, I've got no idea on that. I tend to doubt he ever existed, but ya never know. Even if he didn't it may still be possible to summon and interact with his thoughtform. With so many people reading about him and thinking about him this past century since Lovecraft either discovered or created the character I'm sure a heck of a lot of astral energy has been directed into such a thoughtform. And speaking of such a thoughtform, any Chaotes out there care to opine on this?
Also, good points Rishi Bhrigu. I did not consider that maybe my having walked all but the last of the Visible Gates may be affecting my experiences here. Although I think it would also be a matter of how one wished to work with the dead. As you pointed out, calling up a specific spirit without having ''conquered'' the Dark Queen's realm would be considerably more difficult. However, I cannot stress enough the dangerous nature of Ereshkigal. Unless you are a dedicated Priest/Priestess of the Lady such as Darkgoddess, I feel working with her on any significant level is to swim in treacherous waters. And one final note. It does say specifically that Namtillaku is capable of bringing you contact with the Dead without alerting Ereshkigal and Nergal to the fact. So just work with this carefully Sephiroth, but by all means do experiment. Peace, Lugal Nosotro Tehuti.

I think as for calling the Mad Arab, his soul was probably taken to a place you´d rather not search in, if the Testimony part 2 is to be believed...
