Greetings,
Oh my, that is a large topic. I will be spending some time reading thorough it all. Thank you for brining it to my attention. Qigong is the only organized system of direct energy work I have encountered; the other systems seem more like a philosophy or "manipulation by proxy" to me, than set and defined lines. I do have a question, though. Is it required to go about energy work in that manner; can the principles of Qigong be extrapolated without lessening the systems effectiveness? I have tried messing with establish systems before and ended up with something less than the whole.
Like I said, I have yet to read your topic, but you are suggesting that I need to always maintain a conscious effort to keep the energy that I absorb. Is there some way or sort battery, I could use? I already use a sigil with an object for this purpose, but I was wondering if this has a biological equivalent.
This is what I am learning, - though be it mostly by trial and error- nice to have some third party conformation.
Thank you.
The teaching thread that I wrote awhile back was mostly about the principles and how to apply them. I had never seen most of them written down clearly so it seemed worth doing. There were also some applications, but naturally if you understand the principles, you can extrapolate from them. We do it all the time.
When we send energy into a human being, we are sending into a system which has can hold a certain amount. Look at it as a container. If the container was half empty, we can fill it up to the brim and it will stay unless used up. If we send more than it can contain, it overflows and dribbles out. Or if you want an electrical anology, we are batteries. Sometimes the batteries are run down, sometimes fully charged. We can recharge them through exercises like Qigong. But unlike mechanical devices such as batteries, we have the ability to grow and add more capacity and more power through exercises. So, no you don't have to make a conscious continuous effort to contain the energy that you absorb -- up to a point. You may be able to contain an 'overcharge' or excess charge momentarily but it will flow out soon. It can also cause damage like a power surge might blow out a television set or something.
It is mostly the same with inanimate objects or egregores except that they aren't likely to be hurt. And yes there are certain techniques or sigils that can help contain charges that are larger than the normal capacity of the object to be able to store. There is an example here on this site for instance.
