primal solitary maiden moon ritual for tomorrow night (1st draft)
standard warning: this ritual is primal and thus dangerous - respect
the deities involved or really nasty stuff will probably happen
viewpoint: the beautiful spring maiden is older than she was the last
time you two met like this, no longer a child, she is halfway to being
the mother herself, but still has a bit of little girl - sort of a
supernatural young teen with powers beyond belief, and she knows them
very well, and you two will share your secrets tonite at a very
private tea party that you are inviting her to
at dusk, boil some hot water and put it in a thermos or jar so as to
keep it hot, then anoint your spirit candle (the symbol of you) with
your oil (the symbol of you) and light it, then fill your basket with
a potted plant, something good to eat, a tea pot, some herbal tea and
the thermos, a plate, a teacup with saucer, and a cute present for the
maiden, and whatever else you need like a mylar blanket for the wet
ground so you don't catch cold, then head for your altar, outside if
possible
place your spirit candle, the plant as centerpiece, the plate with the
goodies and the tea pot and the teacup and saucer on the altar
spin and draw the circle with your mind, pulling it from the universal
energy, and then building it into a sphere
silently call your pantheon with your heart, then silently call with
your mind all those who wish to participate to come now, as you are
about to begin - if the wind rises, greet it with a nod and a smile
sit confortably within reach of the altar cause you might be here a
long time, then make the tea in the teapot
relax, picture the maiden (she may not be visible), the right side of
her face lit, the left side of her face in darkness, respectfully draw
her down, and when she comes request with great awe and humility that
she instruct you and communicate with her as you two share your body
for the rite
eat and drink and speak with the maiden, she sharing the taste and
feel of the food and drink with you, for you are now together as
sisters and have shared something far deeper than most - you can share
your worst secrets with her in an open and candid way as you are
bonded - and she may share some of her secrets with you
when it is time to stop, or she says that she must withdraw, give her
your most grateful thanks and present her with the present in awe of
her great and wonderful powers that she shares with you on occasion
(asking nothing in return)
when you are totally done, give the remains to the earth as fertilizer
and water, then dissolve the link between you, knowing that you can
redo it again in a single heartbeat
arise, and with your mind, bid those who came to depart in great
peace, joy and happiness and that you hope that they received whatever
it was they sought
dissolve the sphere back into the boundless energy of the universe
replace everything within the basket, take up your spirit candle and
depart as quietly as you came - blow out your candle only once you
reach home
