Ok, sort of a long one here.

I have read that the Bandar are like a separate set of entities, not good or evil in human terms, and are often a reflection of sorts of the one who calls them.

As a child, I lived in a house that had a powerful entity in it. When I was left alone at night, it would terrify me, until one night I used my imagination and called or created something darker, meaner, and more powerful than what was in the house to protect me. It worked, and the being I called has been with me sense. It has at times been hard to control, like a chained dog it doesn't seem happy if ignored. It has manifested least once in another case where a friend was being haunted (for lack of a better word) and it attacked the bad guy pretty badly, and almost consumed it. In cases where I have been in houses with presences, all I ahve to do is release it and the entities either leave or are eaten.

As time went on, I began to make peace with it. It seems to hover around the chakra point near my navel (sorry, I am not good with terminology). Once I began my work with the necro, it calmed down a lot, to the point where I wondered if it was still there. Two nights ago a lady was with me in bed and she began to feel things crawling on her and got scared, I calmed her down(she thought it was bugs or some such but my apartment is bug free) and got her back to sleep. I am pretty sure it was just some psychic trash, the same stuff that sometimes accumulates around me. So I called the daemon inside of me, let it loose, and the shenanigans ended.

I always felt it was most likely a thought form I created that is linked to my energies, or some part of my psychic make up that is just over activeMy feeling of this companion seems to resemble much of what I have read here of the Bandar. It becomes calmer when I give it attention, and I have yet to encounter anything, ever, that can even come close to matching it's power when I am threatened. As I said earlier, it has become much "nicer" since my necro work has begun.

ANyone care to speculate as to what this is? Is this possibly a Bandar like being that I somehow called long ago? Or am I way off base?

Greetings Gemini,

Actually, I would not be surprised at all if you'd just naturally called a Bandar, even as a child.
Enki knows our destinies and if he saw you one day picking up the path of the Necronomicon, he may have just assigned you a bandar, since you were calling for a protective spirit.
Even though as a child you believed you were just imagining up a protective spirit, it is highly likely that you actually summoned one through natural ability. It seems fully possible to me that you called a bandar.
Besides the fact of Enki hearing your call, or knowing you future path, summoning the entities involved with the Necronomicon can and many times, is a very organic, almost shamanistic experience. The sigils and incantation involved help, but aren't needed if you know consciously or even subconsciously, what you are trying to contact.
Now that you've seen this spirit calm down and become more integrated into your life, I would suggest trying to construct the Agga Mass Ssaratu bowl and burning some bread for this spirit. If you feel him feeding from it and becoming excited/empowered by it, then there is a very good chance that you do indeed have a bandar.

Good luck,
Nosotro Tehuti.

If you can buy into the theory that the Bandar is in part the higher self then what you experienced earlier in life was definitely Bandar.

I am beginning to suspect that is the case. I have used my Bandar for more than just protection or revenge. I have sent it (him?) to help me with my job situation and now I have an interview tomorrow for a job I want. COuld that be the Bandar, or just good luck? I won't discount the Bandars help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Here is a crazy thought for ya. What if the Bandar is not just in part the higher self? What if the Bandar is the future dead self? In the astral aren't all times supposed to be occurring at the same time anyways? What if the Bandar has a vested interest in being a spirit guide for us pathetic humans? What if your Bandar is just you in a future incarnation on a much higher spiritual level? If that’s the case maybe sacrificing often via the Agga Mass Ssaratu would be greatly beneficial.

Nevermind that would be totally crazy. I must need another beer.

Peace!

OK, you made me lose sleep last thinking about this. We know that magic isn't limited to the present and future, I am sure we have all done workings which resulted in events that had to have begun before the working was performed. I can't recall where, but I recently read an article by a chaos magician discussing just these types of spells, aimed deliberately at past events, to change current circumstances.

The Bandar, being a self aware entity of some sort that inhabits the astral plane, would not be limited by time anymore than by distance. If we have multiple incarnations why wouldn't a more evolved form of ourselves work backwards? This is a complete mind hump for us here on the physical plane where time only moves in one direction.

Another idea- what about the entities of the Necro doing the same thing? Are we really rediscovering and renewing an ancient wisdom, or are the Necro entities a level 5 type civilization (Kardeshev Scale of Civilizations) working backwards, from our perspective, to transform humanity? Did they make sure that the earliest civilization had records of them (and pictures that give rise to questions about ancient astronauts) so that we would hear of it today?

With so many different manifestations of the Summerian god forms in other civilizations through the years (discussed in Gates of the Necronomicon), how much thought energy has been accumulated? With the writings of H.P. Lovecraft and the popular appeal of the Necronomicon (even in the excellent Evil Dead movies), it almost seems possible that these entities are investing in the past to get a result today or in the near future.

Dam interesting idea, one that definitely twists things up in my already twisted mind....

So what your saying is that if The Bandar is I, then I am Bandar? How many plains / levels of existence or consusness does he live on / in ? So then are we the past or the future? I would say that I am both at the same time is the same true for our Bandar. Being that I die every second of the day as well as being born every second of the day. Now in order to inflect proper change i have to know in which time this alter me operates in? Maybe it is exatly the same time in a different year? Possibly I,Bandar, god are one in the same in different dimensions and through some process we exchange turns on this plain. Always trying to instate change for our next evolution. Eventually becoming god and possibly falling from there returning to this veil of tears. It would make some weird sense that we are all of the above in some weird Tetra. But is there ever a point in which we could miss one of these steps and not become. Hope this isn't way of in left field. It should be noted that this thread has atleast made me ponder. So if any of this seem to not apply to above post feel free to delete. I just had to type the thoughts out to try to make sense of it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

A prayer to Bandar: <Insert your name in the blank>

Bandar Holy Angel who reveals all things.

Reveal everything to me.

Bandar Holy Angel you are my wings.

Sacred wings which cover me.

Bandar I summon you into real and beholdable form.

Bandar you and I are one.

Walk with me on the path to god-hood.

Together we shall become gods.

Bandar guide me on the path to truth.

As I seek to discover the truth of all truths.

Bandar reveal the truth to me.

Cast light into the darkened places.

Let what dwells in the dark be destroyed by the might of your rays.

Someone told me if you don't banish him you have to sacrafice every 3 days. I thought it was every moon. I sacraficed a whole loaf to him last full moon and he seems to be ok. So I am going to stick with sacrafice every moon. Anyone do it every 3 days, and if so do you notice him getting restless if he doesn't get it?

I do it about every three days, sometimes if I don't he is ok, sometimes he gets a little miffed and takes the energy he needs from me

If I dont sacrifice for the more than 3 days I tend to feel myself getting drained. My Bandar doesnt get all mad--because I told him if he is every extra hungry from me not feeding him to feed off of me, I will notice eventually.

i have recently to say aquired a nec and read of "BANDAR" weird thing is a few years back i had created this character in my head while walking to buss stops and in my mind this being was me in a sence but would come out of me and do as i/it wished as a seperate but same entitly. although in my mind i did not see this being battling organic life forms but demons that have escaped into our realm and are unleashing havoc in our realm. he was in all armour that was dark and smoke poured off it. It was not an evil character by any means but very dark. also had wings of fire a blue fiery sword that poured smoke. Ever since then i would think about him and imagine him around me or me as him . If its your higher self coming down i figure its a good idea to have a good relationship with it. The weird stuff i think about while walking to the buss stop.

I don't think that you summoned a bandar as bandars tend to hate you. Bandars also don't typically reside within a person, rather, they either reside near the person until they are banished. It sounds to me like you created an egregore (a spirit servitor), or judging by its power, an Archtypal Image (more powerful and intelligent version). Usually it takes a group to make Archtypal Images, but this one rests in your solar plexus chakra when it isn't active. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hmm.gif) The solar plexus is one of the most powerful energy centers on the body and is likely basking in your energy, continuing to grow in power, and if this is indeed an egregore that you store in your solar plexus... then you're a f*cking genius! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/respect.gif)

Here's a description of what an Archetypal Image is by Konstantinos:

QUOTE
Intentionally Created Archetypal Images (Group Egregores): These
entities are deliberately brought into being by magical lodges to serve as
guardians or energy sources for specific magical workings. Group egregores
are allowed to exist as long as the lodge of their creation exists and
sometimes longer. The reason they do not become dangerous, like normal
egregores, lies in the method of their creation. Unlike the latter, group
egregores work with an energy current. When not actively working for a
magical goal, these beings exist within this current and do not wander
around the physical plane causing trouble. If a magician were to align
him or herself with a magical current by joining a lodge, then he or she
would be able to evoke and work with these beings. A solitary magician,
however, has to work with either egregores of his or her creation or with
archetypal images of the following type: (describes Unintentionally
Created Archetypal Images)

Your solar plexus is the energy stream that your egregore/Image exists in when inactive. Normally this is somewhere in the astral plane, but the energy inside one of your chakras is sufficient to keep it at bay. I've never heard of this before! This is quite exciting for me. Well... there are dangers of letting egregores live too long, especially since it lives inside you, but the advantages are enormous. If it starts getting too out of hand, then I'd destroy it and make another, but it sounds to me like you don't need to do this right now, especially since it's getting calmer.

The reason it's getting calmer is probably because you are working with an effective system of magick. I don't think it matters if you work with the Necronomicon, Solomonic Magick, Psionics, etc. as long as you practice magick. Being a magician grants you better control, and it increases your power.

Are/can Bandars be named?
