Shelling and Sticking, My chi runs away from home! Options

I had been trying my hand at Psionics for a few years now, and I have had some success with telepathy and Remote Presencing and a few other skills; even still, I have two big problems that prevent me from practicing psi manipulation:

My chi usually refuses to leave the surface of my hand, and it doesn't stay contained within shells.

I have done all sorts of visualizations from shelling it with baseball skins to glass spheres, but it always flows directly through... without my mind slipping up and picturing it doing such.

Often, I can't get it into a *solid* shape, and it just sticks to the surface of my hands. It seems that I have immense trouble moving it, but once it is moving it goes wherever it wants.

I have read pretty much every article from psipog.net by the way, just to clarify that I'm not trying to read up on this problem. I just want to know if others experience this, and if so, if they would be willing to provide some useful tips.

I'm going to refer to chi as ki - that's just my Japanese preference.

The reason you're having problems keeping it in, is that ki is always in motion. Trapping it in such a way is then incompatible with the essential aspect of ki.

Rather than worrying about the edges of your ki, worry about the centre of your ki. As long as you have a nice clean, strong centre, your ki will float out, and around and come back.

As a psi-vampire, I can tell you that ki is always floating everywhere. It cycles, it whorls, it floats hither and thither. It is, essentially a part of your aura - so of course it's going to float out and away. As long as you have your centre well balanced, it will act like a gravitic core for your ki to whorl around. Think of the rings of Jupiter and Saturn - same thing. The stronger your centre, the stronger your aura, the more ki will stay in orbit of it.

As to keeping it in a "solid" aspect in your hand, same thing - I'm assuming you're trying ki balling. Focus a ki centre, and the ki will whorl around it in a sphere.

Thanks for the help! I always have thought that the concept of actually confining life force and such was somewhat...incompatible...with my understanding of chi/ki/prana/psi. I guess I should be trying to find ways of working with ki in motion instead of trying to use old methods. In my mind, ki has always floated around like ribbons; then again, that may just my gay nature showing itself again. I will try working with ki in a new way after my next meditation with this in mind.

Actually, I was thinking something similar - imagine yourself with a ball of ki in your centre, and then a sort of haze of ki around that and extending beyond your body are ribbons (although I think of them as tendrils - except that they're not always attached to anything, so ribbons is probably more accurate) of ki which sort of swirl and orbit in strange patterns around that core ball.

Reich's work involved (in part) with the making of a life force condensing unit....It will literally suck up the surrounding life force near it. Those that have built it cannot live in the same room as it just leaches up life energy... He also created a dispensing unit and used it to treat cancer...I suppose that this should be labeled under pseudo-science (the accumulator thread) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
