I've mentioned this like twice already, but I'm getting like an overload of curiousity.

How come everyone knows so much and are already doing rituals using complex disciplined methods at such a young age? (Under 25 is young to me)

I know that age is not a measurement of maturity and blah blah blah...

But like in reality..how does that work exactly?

(Now this might just be influenced by my complete insecurity as I've known about magick for soo long and have learnt near to nothing)

the knowledge of magick is not exactly rocket science.

If you study some on it you can learn much in a year. Its not dificult in theory and if you are good at absorbing knowledge you can learn a lot in a short time.
I studies many things in my young life, and magick is one of the easies subjects i am studying, its so simple.

This however applies only to the theory, the practise is different. I know a lot more about magick than i can practise for example.

Greetings,

Lets take a brief look at the life of Manly P. Hall. In his early 20's he traveled all around the world doing research into secret teachings in the 1920's. He used money loaned to him from investors. Still in his early 20's he published a book which is to this day an encyclopedia of ancient mythology, ritual, symbolism, and arcane mysteries.

This book is called The Secret Teachings of All the Ages.

Accomplishment should not be measured on a scale that includes a persons age. I have one student who just graduated High School and has taken off like a rocket in his knowledge after about a year of tutelage.

I know one young person of about 19 years who has one of the most learned occult minds that I have run into in quite some time.

I personally believe in reincarnation. I believe that knowledge gained in past life's can be retained in future life's. I believe that often when we learn something very naturally and quickly it is something that we most likely already learned in a past life. Also if you are studying the arcane in this life then chances are that you studied it in many previous ones.

Of course lets keep in mind that the old ones most likely have learned a thing or two in their present life. I have never had an old one as a mentor but the old Shamans I have locked minds with did grant me some pearls of wisdom in passing.

What is age? How long the current body has been alive? How old is a newborns soul? Why are some people geniuses and others imbeciles? If we can believe in reincarnation then we can also buy into Karma.

Of course not every one believes in such Eastern teachings. For persons of that mind I suggest that a young person of great learning has applied him or herself well.

Peace!

I guess I've never thought about it as in past lives (I do believe in reincarnation) but it must explain why some people pick it up so naturally.

I also understand if you pursue the theory with passion and persistence you probably do learn a lot in a short time but I'm usually so preoccupied with melodramatic teenage dramas that I feel like I never have time.

I've also never had a tutor although I've tried to find one for quite awhile now-I guess I haven't tried hard enough!

Thanks =]

Oh but I don't think you can fairly say that 'magick is not rocket science' like it's simple. There's such a broad range of topics from simple to advanced and it's like you can never stop learning and different sources tell you different things and different cultures have different opinions on the same things and I think it is quite difficult to decide what you believe in. So I disagree and think magick in theory can be difficult for some people.

At the age of 20 i had already seen most of the world, experianced combat, been married. At the age of about 12 id say i began true meditation (brought on by martial arts). Until recently worldy things kept my interests in the occult and religion at a low. But now i add up al ive seen and done and utilize meditation to some of its fullest capacities. Im no mage but i do practice some of the rituals for energy and cleanliness. But i do have extensive studies into dreaming and mysticism. When you truly slow down and look at life instad of running along at the break neck pace the world wants you at you learn fast and it sticks with you.

How did you see the world by the age of 20? I've only travelled to neighbouring countries.

And how can you actually meditate at the age of 12?
How did you manage to clear your mind?

When I was 12-I obsessed about Orlando Bloom and read the whole of Lord of the Rings and wondered which Harry Potter book would come next all while trying to do my make up in a non-skank way and going through the only black clothing phase. Quite frankly I have realised that my skin happily matches most colours as long as their in the right shade. =]

Martial arts sounds fun! I wish I could do something like that, I'm unco. Oh this one time I did a kickboxing class!

I'm still deciding which areas I'm more passionate in. Do you think it's best to learn something and become really good at that one thing..or learn heaps of things?

For example, I like runes but I don't like tarot cards. Or I like to make herbal infusions and can't be bothered to make herbal oils.

Is it best to learn both or just use runes? Is it best to do justs stick to herbal infusions?

I was in the military at age 18 thats how i saw the world. At age twelve i listened to an instructor explain how ki and chi energy work, and how bruce lee utilizes it, and that meditation would bring about those abilities more clearly. So i took it serious enough. Also at age twelve i had many less worries and cares so it was MUCH easier to meditate than if i had started as an adult.

Just continue doing what your interested in, but be very weary of dismissing anything completely, thats foolish and in the end usually rolls back around and makes more sense. EVERYTHING esoteric is connected in one way or another. Of that im sure. When i first started reading the middle pillar and the lbrp heck it was so natural after being a practitioner of energy studies and meditation that it fealt as if i had alredy done it forever. I had dreams that made the middle pillar so vivid and powerful that id wake up sweating. Very simple things, but also the simple things make up the foundation for everything. Without foundation you might as well quit.

Ooh, you were in the military?
How did feel to be in the military?
I've sorted wanted to do an admin job cause then I could earn money and do a uni course and the defence people would pay for it! So it had a lot of financial benefits...but I'm still deciding whether or not the military is a good thing, I mean yeah defence is important but they do you know hurt people...and I understand there really isn't a such thing as good and bad and you have to do things for security and a country without defence isn't considered peaceful but rather dumb and vulnerable...but guns aren't so common here-so the military sort of scares me a little.

I understand the connection thing, but sometimes I feel like there's just so much to it and you need to learn the basics of a lot of things before any chance of moving on but I guess it's about the journey and stuff.

I don't have dreams about magick that often. I'm usually just having imagining having sex with some one I know. (Is that crude? Anyway I'm sure most other people do it too!) Or maybe I don't remember some of my dreams.

-Looking at your sig, I know the Gayatri Mantra off by heart-my parents would murder me if I didn't, then again it's the only one I've learnt after who knows how many visits to the temple.
