Lunar Eclipse Rituals Options

Hi All,

I was wondering about rituals to channel(or gather) the energies of the upcoming lunar eclipse on Aug.28, from my point of view is a two-fold phenomenon: the energies of the waning/new moon and the energies of the waxing/full moon, both in a single day(well, night actually), therefore I think that there must be some rituals specifically tailored for this event and for different purposes. So, I think it would be of great help for all of us to receive any information on this respect.

Any basic 'drawing down the moon' ritual, especially popular in the wiccan witchcraft tradition, will suffice. If you want to store the energy, make a sigil or get a good crystal - quartz is universal, I suggest something cut geometrically, not naturally shaped (structured = containment); moonstone is a classic 'moon energy' crystal as well, harder to find. Silver is another option, metals are typically more for effects than storage though, have a tendency to shunt energy towards something rather than retain.

You don't really need a specific ritual for harnessing the moon's energy, just reach out and grab it. The condition of the moon won't change the nature of the acquisition, just the nature of what you're acquiring.

As a matter of fact it is now too obvious what you mentioned, I was thinking in something more specific, maybe some Wiccan ritual, but is quite clear and practical your suggestion so I'll use it.
