I am picking some bits of information about religions and myths and occult topics for quite a few year, but never went much into details. Now, I'd like to change it a bit, because I feel I might be able to understed the world and also myself better by studying these topics. That's my main goal I'd like to accomplish by studying magick - to know more. About everything. I'm a biology student and the more I know the natural laws, biological systems and other scientific stuff, the more I feel there just must be something else, something we don't see on the first sight - and maybe nor even on the second one - . I'd love to understand it, too.

Well, maybe a few words about me...
I'm from Prague, Czech Republic (the land of Jaromir Jagr, Vaclav Havel or Franz Kafka). My family is completely atheistic (most of this country is...); I'm a bit connected with Christianism (protestant/evangelic) through some of my friends, though I'm not a Christian myself (yet? - there definitely is a bit of agnosticism in me...). As I have already said, I'm a biology student; I'm in my second year on the Charles University in Prague and wanna specialize in parasitology - mainly in parasitic protists, but I'like antrhopology, genetics and zoology (mainly ethological aspects - behavioral ecology of animals) and evolutionary theories, too. Beside nature, I really love books and literature, like to listen to music (american country, particularly), travel and study other cultures - religions and languages (e.g. PHP (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) etc.

I hope it's enough for the introduction. Maybe just... please excuse my far-to-perfect English, I'm still learning.
Now, I'm going to read some of your "beginners' topics" to get a bit orientated.
If I only knew where to start! (any advices? thanks a lot!)
