Hello, am new. Am also the sort that does a lot of reading before she speaks, so you'll forgive me if I don't go into elaborate details just yet, while I saturate myself with information here. So much information! Dazzling...
When the pieces of my life finally came together, and I realized it was time to pursue the sorts of things I'd always been drawn to, I started to read everything I could get my hands on about all occult topics under the sun. 2.5 years later, was finding myself drawn more and more to particular things, but still uncertain whether that was a bona fide craving or a desire to follow a path simply because people I knew and liked were on it. So, one night in a bookstore, implored silently, "Okay, I'm ready - hit me," and stretched out my hand. Have been self-training with Lyam Thomas Christopher's Kabbalah, Magic and the Great Work of Self-Transformation for 1.5 years since then. An often difficult, but deeply meaningful and joyful, endeavor. Am aware of, and fully intend to get, the Cicero materials, for comparison/contrast.
So, there's that. On a more practical level, am a very good librarian, and somewhat middling poet (decidedly a Salieri in a world of Mozarts, though, more's the pity - lots of desire, very little genius). Am looking forward to listening to, learning from, and speaking with such a diverse array of magickal people.
Best,
FTL
