Portable Darkness: An Aleister Crowley Reader
Edited with Commentary by Scott Michaelsen, Solar Books, 2006, 293 pages.
I've only just started this book (page 75) but so far I'm quite impressed with the way some of Crowley's lesser known works ("Do Angels Ever Cut Themselves Shaving?") are presented. The type-face is clear and modern, which gives the whole an up-to-date look, even though some of these writings date back to the early 1900's (i.e., "Liber Al Legis," 1904).
The Editor's comments are unobtrusive and yet appropriate for the piece being presented. So far, I would have to give this book 4 out of 5 stars and say that I strongly recommend it for anyone who has interest in Crowley's life and writings.
Light, Life, and Love.
