Body Moding, I'm considering Asexual operations Options

Well, what are your thoughts on body modifications and plastic surgery. I'm currently considering several works... like some rib removals, nipple removals (a sexual statement), laser hair removal and other things.

Do you think that these surgeries would have an effect on my magick?

Well, what are your thoughts on body modifications and plastic surgery.

An unnatural, permanent and overly expensive way to mutilate one's self in the name of vainity. I see cosmetic surgury as way to circumvent deformities and reconstruct people's bodies that have been wrecked. I could justify plastic surgery if one has a deviated septum. Or they were hopelessly over weight. Or their legs are uneven in length or something. But rib removal? Nipple removal? Why? To make a statement? Whatever that is I hope its worth it and is something you're sure you're not going to regret 40 years down the line. Beside, unless you go to Mexico, plastic surgeons are bound by a code of ethic that I think would prevent them from performing such major surgeries without consent from a psychiatrist.

Yes I think they would but I have no idea how. You'd certainly have to re-adjust to your new identity.

I'm Asexual and was born with both boy and girl parts ergo a hermaphrodite. In the term Asexual I mean without sexuality, its an actual condition where the mind doesn't develop an orientation or sexual identity. I've tried the whole girl thing, I've even tried the boy thing... nothing. I have no sexual feelings towards either, I even barely have an emotional attachment due to my somewhat hollow emotions.

But I just have this undying hatred for my nipples, its unexplainable. The rib thing will give me a more hourglass like figure, Its kinda like a transsexual except I'm just taking myself away from a gender sense I'm not actually a gender to begin with. And to Tell the truth I don't think I'll live to be 40.

I can tell that before you actually go through any procedure you should seek advice from a councelor. Not that I think you're crazy, you just sound like you have a lot of emotional issues to deal with. I can also say that you would be given a psyche eval before any surgery any way and if they think you're only getting the modifactions because of some underlying mental issues, they won't do the surgery and possible feed into anything that might be wrong with you. Besides you just might realize you don't want the sugeries at all and maybe a councelor would actually back you up if they thought it was a appropriate.

I think both ethics and morals are all of a personal nature in this matter. Its your life. Just make sure that you are going to be happy once its done.

Someone close to me got Malaria during ww2. Somehow the Marines nipples would get infected from this. What the doctors would do was cut around the nipples to cure the infection. He told the doctors to just cut his nipples completely off because he did not think he needed them. They cut his nipples off. I remember him as an old man swimming in the pool with a towel draped over his shoulders. To hide his missing nipples. In his youth he did not care but when he was an old man he was ashamed. Regardless of whether or not he had any nipples he was a great man.

If these operations somehow empower your mind by making you feel better about yourself then I would say yes it might effect your magick quite a bit.

However that goes vice versa for if you do not like the changes.

Thank you both for your replies and you gave me great points of views. I will take into consideration of what you both have said.

Lol I remember this post, sorry I dug it up again I did a Hermaphrodite search. But yeah I gave that all up, after dropping some weight I see that the rib thing isn't needed since that shape is there.

I'll be making a long elaborate post about hermaphrodites (Intersex) and magick in the near future. Get ready to go O_O!

Well it certainly would be up to you. I would say it is a karmic issue. However you are born in a time where they can actually do something. I tend to agree that perhaps some counseling might help before the operation. I actually thought that that was part of the process in these kind of alterations.

I will tell you what I was taught about loosing parts, although it may not apply here.

If you loose a finger then you also loose the magickal properties of that finger. So where the hand and fingers are used in some traditions to send energy that ability is lost. I feel that that is also karmic (almost everything is I guess).

I certianly feel for your situation, I can't possible understand it as I have not experienced it. But since it is a very unique situation I would look into the Traditions and what they say. I would meditate also to see what you higher self has to say. Only for the reason if it is something you need to endure for some karmic reason in my feeling it is best to endure and get it over with.

That is my personal feeling probably is not of much help but there it is any way.

Personally I am against mutilating ones self, wether it be peirsing (can mess up the energy) or tattoos. However this is a different case.

I know one thing, the middle sex in magic(k)al cultures are considered very powerful. One who can utilize both sexes' power is something to behold, that's why you see a lot of practitioners cross-dressing it's a powerful thing. Most of the Native American tribes I've read about have a certain awe towards the Shaman who posses both sexes, or cross-dress. I don't think karma has anything to do with this decision, it's your body and you can do anything to it you'd like. Don't let anyone tell you what beauty is, it's something you have to find out for yourself.

During my experiences I’ve found my magick working a little strangely than what typical people describe. I don’t want to go on and on while talking you guys in a circle going nowhere. I’m just going to get to the point rather quickly I hope that’s okay. Just about everywhere you’ll see it written down somewhere that each gender has a little bit of the other mixed in there somewhere. But in the case of me I’m split right down the middle (oh joy), and that gives me access to both masculine and feminine energy instantly. Unfortunately there isn’t a book out there titled “Androgynous Magick” or “Intersexed Energy Worker” so there has been one big learning curb and self-exploration. I’d be glad to help anyone else if they are having trouble and they are also of the intersex persuasion or not. I’ve lately mastered changing my sexual polarities; going from one gender to the other in my astral body, mind etc. This affects my physical body a bit, I already have a hormone issue and that just makes more estrogen or testosterone depending on the shift. Everyone holds these stereotypes about how male energy is aggressive and female energy is submissive. I can assure you… that is bull. I can be a bastard in guy form; and a venomous bitch in girl form. The energies themselves are very similar, they are just opposite. Granted a feminine energy is more supportive in healing, soothing etc. While Masculine energy is wild but secure; governing strength, security, offence etc. But all in all it’s more complicated than that in my mind. (Just like everything is)

I’m sure you can gather the meaning of the moods by the names given. The Middlesex moods are loosely out of my control and are influenced by external stimuli. These mood shifts have their ups and downs and serve me well in my day-to-day life and magickal workings. But each of these moods if expressed strongly for too long has a tendency to give rise to an alter ego. Fairly recently I constructed a ring for self-control, sometimes I where it, sometimes I do. People assume it’s for controlling willpower or something like that, spending, over indulgence etc. It was constructed so that I can stay at a mood of my choosing without external stimuli playing an active role. These mood shifts can be seen in the way I dress, walk, talk and present myself to the world. These changes occur without effort and are easily picked up by people that know me. The thing with magick and any given person its totally personalized. So what I’m doing here might sound completely off helter to the way you work with your magick or your mind. I’ll be the first to admit that this must sound INSANE to a normal person.

Just look upon this as nothing more than another way of thinking rather than insane ramblings or an absolute. I’m there is another Intersexed occultist out there that does something completely different from the way that I do them and I’m not saying that I’m right or wrong or there are right or wrong. There’s just insufficient data on the matter at the moment.
