My name is Alexander - I am of greek descent - and a Nigerian by birth. Although I was born and raised in a catholic home, I have always embrassed self-image believing that God sees through my eyes. Although it may sound ridiculous, everything seems like a setup leaving me with the question of "why life is". My hunger for knowledge has driven me to search for the ultimate goal (probably it's all a propaganda "to whom it may concern") and has made me become aware of the innate forces resident in man.

Embracing all that is driven by will, I am gradually opening my minds eye (after a series of meditation on the question of life above) that even the bible does reveal unto man (in Gen 3:22) the mysteries of "HE" who possesses many "names", "forms" and who is reponsible for the "beginning" and the "end" of "all things". I have come to realise that HE has left us to decide our own fate but has deprived us of logevity (I guess most of us know the story). HE also made it clear that life (power to create) and death (power to destroy) resides in us, but that we should choose "life". How then can we understand life when we have just a little of it to "live"?

Another mind bugging question raised by my "loving Jesus" - "Don't ye know that ye are gods? Yet you die like mere mortals..." I would rather not bore you with babblings and rants about self-awareness. This is where I cut the chase. The word of HE (hail him) has made it clear enough for us to follow but yet "christianity" makes it more confusing by the day. I am not surprised that there seem to be quite some disunity in the religion (and even other religions) today, for it is written "...And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you..." -- (1 Cor 12:21 - I encourage you to read through the whole chapter) -- and yet they twist the doctrine to satisfy their own selfish intent. It is not my place to judge any religion or culture. However, my understanding of a good "religion" should be innate and devoid of selfishness and sarcasm -- for there are many out there who know the truth and are holding it back just so they can be gods in their parlour of deceit, extortion and avarice.

I discovered the bible already talked about clairvoyance, telepathy, astral projection and so on but not exactly in detail. We sometimes associate these things with "mind" (of which I am in congruence) but the bible simply uses "spirit". Here's a clue from the following verses i've extracted from the bible (it doesn't matter if you belong to any particular religion just read for the fun of it):

John 16:13
"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

"but whatsoever he shall hear" -- could this be the reason for telepathy, clairvoyance, and/or empathy as you need to enquire of the mind (psychically) these things?

Read on ...

Galatians 5:17
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

1 Corinthians 2:10
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

In the previous two verses "searcheth" and "lusteth" somehow describe enquiries into the mind (or rather the true/spiritual nature) of man and as it affects his physical existence. Also, could the statement "ye cannot do the things that ye would" be limitation of the flesh driven by logic wherewith we find it hard to influence matter at will? I wonder.

Romans 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Distinguishes the Telekinetic capable of psychic phenomenon from the untrained eye who regards himself as everyday man or "...mere mortals..." just as Jesus described it.

...

Seeking the truth can be daunting and sometimes a confusing task. Perhaps you may have to read several books and even try different "religions" of which the true religion in borne of the desires within. Regardless of your religion, you are entitled to your opinion of life but should treat your earthly religion as a basis for the innate (MEDITATION).

This is where I take a break from typing. However, I believe that things of the "spirit" (or mind) are as real as the things of the physical, but also the physical is influenced (or created) by the things of the spirit (or mind). How then can the physical be more real than the things of the spirit?

that...is a very interesting way of looking at yourself, myself, ourselvs...i always had conflict of self, in a sense of where does this come from, desire or love? but i quite enjoyed the way you portrayed yourself in my mind, as to not wonder from where questions come from, but rather to ponder them in the sense of spirit (not flesh (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

recently (yessterdays) i was reading about archetypes of the psyche, basicly like what makes you YOU...its strange...i used to belive, oh that guy on the corner i could have been him, that rich bastered, i could have been him, and in a way we seem to be, and are! but there is a clear distinguishment, somthing that makes you you, and no one else can be better than you at what you do...>.^ and leading up to another topic of discussion hel could be the mere fact of you pushing so far away from that you, to try an fit into a cultural norm (a lie, a demon, etc,) that you sucessfully put yourself in a position where nothing is possible but pure pain an sufffering, although as long as we live on this earth suffering will happen, but i belive that is rather our gift than curse, those who fail to see that as so, will live in misery and much woe,...eye belive in Jesus the King of Kings and its sought me well on my spiritual path so far, i think the reason a lot of people dont is because of a falst image of him,...anyway i very much enjoyed tasting your mind, plz, come again\

If I recall correctly (I haven't bothered to check) this phrase occurs during an exchange between jesus and his critics. They ask him why he feels it's OK to be called the Son of God, and are thus answered.

Jesus is referring to Psalm 82:6, where the pagan deities are called "gods and sons of god." He is justifying being called Son of God on the grounds that if those idols can be called such things, so can he. The idea that people could be anything like God or Gods is found in Genesis 3:5 and comes from the mouth of the talking snake.

Aha! Thanks for your contribution. Yesterday was just my birthday and I couldn't help but meditate on the "religion of self" as it had occured to me that we're in a world centered around the "spirit" like you suggested and this led to another form of thought which I titled the "Magic of Self". I'd greatly appreciate your contribution. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/book.gif)

Very well, you have a point which is why i'd suggest you read my new post titled The "Magic of Self" - the birth of a god. You should find it an interesting read and I guess you'll better understand where I stand in the matters of religion. Thanks for your contribution. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/search.gif)

Irrelevant though, i have to say your one paragraph was of particular interest.

and it is my personal Belief that the one who is most high (notice i don't address this divinity as him or her, doing so i believe limits its greatness in ones mind.) is unknowable and that we being limited in mind and body compared to The Creator of Heavens and Earth. will never truly understand this Immaculate divinity's will and or plan, though I being but a creation of this will am limited to speculate it is my belief that our limited life is designed as to force us to make the most out of the time we are given to live and love to our fullest potential before we meet our end.

at lest thats what I believe whether or not this helps you or is completely Irrelevant to you i don't know but i do hope it helps.

Though I believe and correct me if i'm wrong but you implied that the church has perhaps edited some documents (gospels, and books) in order to better suit their own personal system?

If thats what you are implying all I have to say is looking at the at the history of the church... I can't even begin to imagine where in all the four corners of the world how you could even imagine the the church would do something like this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
(hoping you find my sarcasm as humerus as i do)
and wishing you the best on all future endeavors.

I must say that I don't quite appreciate your sense of humor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/i_triangle.gif) but I agree with your post to an extreme.

I've had certain encounters with what in christianity is referred to has the "Holy Spirit" and I must tell you that I still feel lost everyday. There is God and he speaks to us all, of which I can tell you that only a few whose my minds are trained to perceive his presence can truly communicate with him. In his truest nature God is becoming more as so is Jesus Christ.

"...my ways are not your ways; neither my thoughts your thoughts..."

We are fools to think that other deities exist above his supremacy. They bow and acknowledge that he is more than they can ever become or behold howbeit we humans crave his presence as proof of his very existence; thus the question of truth: What does your 'mind' tell you? Have you no imagination? Honestly, I think the atheists are the only ones qualified to answer these questions. They probably are gods of themselves since they are of the opinion that nothing is spiritual; that we are but meat of intellectual principles. Everything in their world is 'Logic'.

I need to get some sleep now as my eyelids would stay open no longer. Thanks for your contribution.

duality, father and son, world of logic world of impulse, to live solely in either is arrogance to the other, to balance between the waves, whilst everything else becomes a story to be written an read.
doesn't matter how long were awake, but what we do with the time that we are
