David Rankine: Magickal writer, researcher and teacher

Just recently, I had the pleasure of attending a workshop run by David Rankine. I wasn’t expecting to get much out of it – I have been to many psychic/religious seminars over the years and let most pass me by these days. In fact, on the morning I was due to go, I was feeling under the weather and very nearly gave in to the warmth of my quilt and the pull of another hours sleep, after all, it was Saturday.

Arriving late, I sat down and hoped we would get long breaks and plenty of them – I know about these things, I have been to them before. I bet you know them too, big promises followed by very little quality input and then, oh yes, lets divide you all into little groups and get you to discuss something you know nothing about with complete strangers, you all stare at each other waiting for some bright spark to start you off and just as Bright Spark opens his mouth to help you all along, time is up.

Was it like this? No, not at all. We learned a lot, laughed a lot and David brought the dry material I had seen in books alive and made it all very usable.

David is a great presenter with a wicked sense of humour, he is enthused and doesn’t complicate things. His wand might be bigger than mine, but he doesn’t seem to have noticed it, he is too busy putting it to good use.
