はひめまして、みなさん。 私の名前はリンデイモコです。どうぞよろしくおねがいいたします。

Nice to meet you, everyone. I am Rin Daemoko (my friends really do call me "Rin" in real life, by the way). I was invited here by Kinjo and from just skimming over the forum, it looks like a deliciously thorough site. Excitement!

I am a 23 year-old student in his first year of University - majoring in Japanese (hence the script at the beginning of my post). I began to seriously study and practice magick about eight years ago. At that time, I was a hardcore, Bible-thumping Jesus freak. I underwent a complete paradigm shift in a few days from that to Wiccan.

I remained with the Wiccan stream for quite a while until I became dissatisfied with the hypocrisy floating in the mainstream, so I left it in pursuit of generic Witchcraft - magick without the religion. That eventually lead me to Chaos Magick, of which I am very fond. Especially since it works so well with Buddhism (my philosophy of choice) and Taoism.

Right now, I'm doing something very chaotic. I'm going back to Witchcraft to see what I can do with it now that I've swam in Chaos for a while. I've begun to read over my old Book of Shadows (last updated one year ago, March 21st). In the Witchcraft paradigm, I'm doing things that I would've never thought to do under any other - such as using a verbal glamory when giving a presentation on Queer Culture in Japan to a third-year class. Worked like a charm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

My non-magickal interests include Manga, which is my literary cocaine; David Boreanaz, to whom I have an accidental shrine (I just gathered my various Boreanaz things into one place in my room, and voila, a shrine); anime - Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, Chobits, among others; videogames (PS2) - Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Silent Hill, Devil May Cry, Star Ocean III, DDR; drawing in the manga/anime style; music (various genres/artists); Japanese language, culture, and cuisine.

I just got my Mozilla Firefox to work - about which I'm absolutely thrilled because I've just become so frustrated with Internet Explorer. Right now I'm reading Mastering Witchcraft by Paul Huson. I've.

Hey! This life is just a dream. As in any dream the sleeper can assume control. Magic is gaining that control and using that awakening to full advantage

Greetings Rin!
Belated, I know but this is the first time on this thread...
Paul Huson, eh? I remember when that book first came out and I couldn't get enough! LOL! I used to carry it around with me everywhere...
He really had a different idea about witchcraft than what the movement eventually evolved into. He was really pre-Wicca.
From the sounds it appears that your interests are a varied lot. a good trait all in all! I'm sinking further into Taoism myself as old age creeps over me....(still breathing!)
Anyhoo, it's nice to make your acquaintance! Perhaps some tea sometime?

Rest in Peace Bym.
