It depends on what source book(s) you are using! Barrets "The Magus" lists the four primary archangels as you have them (spelling differs slightly). The Dictionary of Angels has them listed in any numbe of different ways depending upon what faith you ascribe to. Check out our Library! There are many different books on the subject. The idea that spiritual beings have 'true' names is a matter of belief systems. It remains to be ascertained that these spiritual beings have true names that are hidden from anybody! I've had some success in gaining angelic attention by using the name that I was given within my source material. Some belief systems subscribe to the 'hidden/true' name paradigm, others do not. In Chaos Magic it is assumed that you can conjure anything by using the object/subjects name or description. An old Mod here on Sacred-Magick used to conjure the WinterKing that appeared on a liquor bottle! ...and got results! It was a fictitional character. The point being that ANYTHING that has been thought about developes a 'current' or energy signature that can be manipulated magically. Send me a PM and we'll talk source material... I can give you some quick information that is standard in most Wiccan and Western Magic books:
1. Raphael, East, Air, Healing, Yellow/purple
2. Michael, South, Fire, Strength, Red/green
3. Gabriel, West, Water, Rebirth, Blue/orange
4. Uriel, North, Earth, Protection, Black/russet/olive/etc.
these are by no means complete or even particularily accurate. I like to ascribe Air to North and Earth to East...but even this is up to the individual belief system.
Also, I'd try to Search the Forum files as I know that one or more of our older Mods posted large tables concerning this very subject. Google may not be your best bet but Wikipedia is getting better. Try your local library. Check out our Library...it is one of the largest efile Libraries on the Occult around! Kinjo has maintained it well from its original owner. I'm not going to spoon feed you on this...as it is important for you to get your hands dirty doing some indepth research! Good journey! (IMG:
