A common recurring theme for the past 3 nights in a row is a dream segment where I have some sort of profuse nose bleeding. Most of the time, I suddenly find myself in a white karate gi, and my nose is bleeding red all over it. In the dream, I wasn't suited up for fighting or practice, I was just wearing a white gi. Out of nowhere... nosebleed. All over.

There are a few guesses I can make, for one, I associate the karate gi with the idea of effort or work. But then again, this is my wakeful assumption talking. If that's the case, what does bleeding from the nose all over it entail?

I am open to all sorts of interpretations. I am looking for the one that makes the most sense. Thank you.

in japan it is a social myth/stereotype that seeing something you consider to be very sexy will give you a nosebleed.

I suppose my first knee jerk reaction is that a nose bleed symbolizes being exposed, hurt or wounded. If you are bleeding from the nose its something that everyone will be able to see. Maybe you are afraid people will see that you are hurt in some fashion (be it literally physical or more psychological). But a nose bleed could certainly represent other things too. Perhaps you have been over exerting yourself or pushing yourself too hard.

alright, before i say anything....is it just me or is everyone else having problems reading the replies for the posts? i guess what im asking for is someone to pm me really quick that way i will know if its a problem on my end....

now to the good stuff, even though i can't even read the other's replies...so forgive me if im reiterating or being redundant. if youre looking for symbolism...look for what bleeding, or an injured nose might mean; bleeding on white can have a LOT of meanings, but this seems like its in context of disciplined fighting. hard work is a good guess...but i would take it a step further, and ask you this, do you feel defeated or vulnerable? a shot to the face would make anyone feel vulnerable...and bleeding on white is that more shocking or embarrassing and can be downright disappointing. if you work hard at your discipline then it makes sense that your pride could be wounded by such a minor but obvious injury.

however if you work hard, then your discipline could require personal sacrifice....and what better example then bleeding on the white? you are no longer without your defenses, but if you play rough expect to get hurt and plan for it. perhaps you are finally recognizing that fact, and its a surprise because you weren't prepared for that fact consciously.

other things i could assume in the context of 'self discipline' is graduation. perhaps this is a sign that you have graduated out of white into more of a warrior, and the proof is that you have ritualistically shed your blood on your own clothes. on the other hand, it could mean you are in over your head, and you need to slow things down and practice the art of focus so that you do not feel overwhelmed by unknown enemies or problems.

if you read any one of these theories, and it vibrates with you...then theres your answer. hope acid came up with a better answer....but i dunno cuz i can't read it *sigh

knowing you I would say that dream is conveying a sense of reality with which you are not sensing. You're body needs to shake's it's all too convincing argument for it's own invincibility or perhaps there's a part of your mental or emotional psyche that's is tarnishing the purity of purpose. Neither case is entirely alarming, rather look toward becoming aware of how you feel from each moment to each moment Also, when you have a frequently reocurring dream with which you can't control be ready to gather as much awareness possible for each moment, in such cases I would think this dream could mean greatness, nothing, or setback, I would aim for greatness or setback.

Since the gi means work or effort to you as you have already stated... maybe your subconscious is trying to tell you that you may have high blood pressure.

A nosebleed that won't stop is commonly caused by high blood pressure fyi
