I haven't done this in awhile, but a couple of friends and I used to put on a blindfold and practice walking down a woodland path without meandering off the path or walking into a tree. The others were there to keep you from walking into trees, stumbling over logs, or otherwise falling on your face. It also helps in developing better sense of balance. Some people have a greater 'situational awareness' than others. For instance, Wayne Gretsky used to always know where everyone else was on the ice when he played hockey. Successful fighter pilots have more of this facility than most. Billy Bishop, the leading allied WW1 ace was known for this especially. Martial arts trains this within you as well. But reading a person's presence/energy is easier than the presence of something inanimate.

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.
