The Art Of Wordly Wisdom, by Balthasar Gracian Options

Not a book on the occult, but nevertheless up the alley of many on this site, I'd imagine. Anyone here read it? The author was a 17th century Jesuit.

I've got the translation by Joseph Jacobs. It's sort of a kinder, gentler version of "The Prince"--it isn't a manual of ruthlessness, but it teaches you to be shrewd. The book consists of about 300 aphorisms. It looks like it's posted here in its entirety:

I had read the book also in sacred texts homepage but only litle and it looks good, so i read all when i buy it in spanish in papper form (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wandwizard.gif)

I love 'the prince'. Along side "the art of war" are right up there on my list of favorites
