Little People/Big People: The Fae Options

The Little People

A few times, always outside or just inside our patio door, I've seen little people.

This is so preposterous, I'm hesitant to admit to it. However, they seem to be there, even though I've only seen them about four or five times in the past three years.

They're about three feet tall. They look exactly like those ceramic garden figures.

You know, the Munchkin-looking figures with the tall, usually red, pointy caps...?

That's what I've seen, except they're translucent. And we stare at each other for about half a second, the figure nods or moves slightly, and he vanishes.

They're always male. They always look just like the ceramic figures or sketches in the book, Gnomes.

They always freeze when they see me, just as I freeze when I see them. It's something that I see out of the corner of my eye, and they're still there for that split second while I turn my head to see them full-face.

And then they're gone. And I chuckle a little, feel a little nervous, and continue with whatever I was doing.

I have no idea what they are. I get the idea they're playing games with the squirrels who frequent our patio, but I'm not certain if the squirrels are thrilled with this.

And, it's become worse since I added plastic flamingos to our patio display, out of sheer kitsch.

Big people

Okay, it's just one.

He's a tall male, with straight, shoulder-length light brown hair. He's probably in his 30s. He wears a cloak, as some people do at Renaissance Faires. In fact, he looks exactly like he's at a RenFaire.

When I see him in real life, it's usually when he's walking up the corridor (away from me) between our living room and the bedroom areas.

He's translucent, usually glances back to look directly at me when I see him, smiles and sometimes nods in acknowledgement, and then he fades in less than a second.

The only time I've seen him for any length of time in a dream, was in the first dream I had where he showed me another way to the Otherworld. (We were in NYC and we went through a high, round window in a church. Go figure. I mean, really, it was a dream.)

Other than that, I just catch these fleeting glimpses of him.

He seems nice enough, but fairly businesslike. It's as if he's here for a specific purpose, and has no plans to waste time on anything else.

I've seen a couple of other figures, always at least as large as a human male, but they fade so quickly, I can't describe them except they seem more bluish than anything. They aren't the same as the man in the cloak.

Other figures and anomalies

Other than the little people and the big ones, I see things out of the corner of my eye. A large shadow racing across the floor. A few sparkles that are there just for a second when I look straight at them (no, not head rush) and then they're gone.

These things happen three or four times in a week, and then nothing for a week or even a month. No pattern to it.

Conclusion

There are many different kinds of manifestations. I consider all of these "faeries," though some may object to my inclusive use of that word.

They're not ghosts. Ghosts are totally different, with a completely different style. Ghosts generally want attention. These things don't seem to care if I see them or not. In fact, they don't expect me to see them.

Are they really faeries? I don't know.

My "gut feeling" is that they're fae. And that's what I'll call them until someone gives me a better explanation.

i have a tale of my own of a big folk who was once at my side. I called him a lumberjack because he was tall like a giant and dressed like a lumberjack. He had brown hair and brown eyes, fair skin. I didn't see him very often, and mostly heard or felt his presence. He had a habit of saying things to me as I would wake up in the morning.

i have absolutely no history of seeing little folk, except in dreams meditations and memories.

Leprechauns.
Or at least, I figure the big guy is. The little ones I'm not so sure on.

Today's an amusing day - I seem to be able to pull a lot of knowledge on different things out of really dark recesses of my mind.

Leprechauns are a type of fae, as you suspected. Of their demeanor, I can only use the stereotype, because I never really bothered to research them that deeply - so playful - although I have heard tell that they're also very businesslike if they have a task. They're also good for protecting things - and that's generally the type of tasks they take.

Greetings! I have to disagree about the Leprecahn bit. I'm almost certain that it isn't. Definately one of the Fey and the little people sound more like gnomes, though the gnomes I've been lucky enough to see were abit more substantial. They remind me of more elemental spirits than Fey. The Fey are often seen with a multitude of elemental types. Seeing from the corner of the eyes (peripheral vision) is the most noted way of glimpsing the denizens of the unseen realms. Feel honored at the visitations. BUT, remember, the Fey are not human...in form or in thought. They think quite differently than you or I. Leave them small gifts of food and drink and be respectful, always. There are many ways to Faery and much adventure in the finding! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wizard.gif)

I too have had the pleasure of seeing the Fey .... and have done ever since I was a child ....

When we first moved to New Zealand from the UK three years ago our first house had a number of Fey Dwellers at a spot in our wonderful peaceful garden. The wife thought I was potty then when a Kiwi friend of ours first came to house and gazed into the garden exclaiming 'oh I see you have the little people' pointing to the exact same spot I'd seen them .....

Plus we have Pirongia Mountain about twenty minutes drive from where we live which the local Maori don't like because it is occupied by little beings!!!

Then there was the out of body projection where I met with the Fey ... I met with all their key figures and it was such an intense dream ....

Then there is the fact I work with the Sidhe ... I use what they call Faerie Magic which is a Sympathetic thought form magick ..... I am fair haired/blue eyed/slender to skinny with long fingers and odd feet .... I apparently have sidhe bloodline throw back features ..... I am perhaps a Changeling they say.

I constantly see tiny winged beings flitting around me ... have done all my life .... I was in an out of body projection where some of the Fey were around me ... I came out of the projection, opened my eyes and they were there before me in my room .... it was one of the most tearful and wondrous experiences of my life!!!

I connect with beings who call themselves Sidhe Necromancers .... and they say their race is considerably older than mankind .... they existed on the planet before mankind came here from the red planet .... they were formed out of the energy of the earth when it was formed .... they are inter-dimensional ....

I have a powerful affinity with Glastonbury (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif) not because of the darn festival or the Avalon story ... but because it was once a Sidhe city ... Glastonia or Glass Citadel ... Caer Wydr ....

I have been within the Tor in meditation with my Sidhe companions .... many thousands of feet below the Tor is the ruins of an extensive city ... Caer Sidhe .....

They co-exist on this dimension and their own dimension .... their own dimension is a very bright dimension ... what I call the Realm Of The Shining Sun or The Land Of Legends .... it is a very magical place where I have visited in many projections .... and still do .... the best music to create the vibration for this is The Enchanter by Tim Wheater ....

The Sidhe can adopt human form

Their Sidhe Magic is a thought form based magic ... one in which you visualise your outcome over and over and over until you are completely convinced it has happened .... then by the virtue of the law of action follows thought it will happen but not always as you laid out ....

I will always project into the Realm Of The Shining Sun and meet with who I call the Kind Man .... I enter the realm via a threshold of billowing white mist .... the guardians of that sacred veil know me ... because I am rarely stopped ... mainly when my physical body is ill ....

I then put the intention to the Kind Man ... we discuss the outcome of the thread of fate it will create ... the domino effect it will have on the human collective .... I will often insist on the casting, being willing to take on board the consequence or the comeback ... for there is always a residual or harmonising effect ....

Our change of location to New Zealand was the result of one of these castings .... in it I visualised a house on the top of a hill ... overlooking a charismatic mountain ... I even visualised us having a green car ....

Our latest house is atop a hill overlooking Pirongia Mountain ... we are on our third green car .... neither of us like the colour green for a car .... but fate unfolds that it is always a green car we buy!!!!

One mantra to enter this realm ... but with escort ... is NAYUMNAH (nayoomnah) ... which must be repeated over and over in the mind to create a mental body vibration .... you should enter a very bright white landscape and feel intense peace ..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif)

A friend of mine in the Uk was going through some real s**t about a decade ago ... real bad emotional upheaval ... I gave her the above mantra ... which she used and found herself transported to the realm .... her escort was an old man with long grey beard who she knew was to be me in an astral form!!!

My personal experience with an elemental was very creepy. about three years ago, when i was half-awaked in my room, all my stuff disappeared, along with the window curtains and window grills. the only thing left is my bed. across the foot my bed, is a large window, now without a curtain. in the window floating was a beautiful woman in white (just like galadriel from jacksons' lord of the rings, but with black hair), smiling at me. i smiled back and was about to ask her her name, when suddenly a huge hairy, muscle-bound arm grabbed me. the hairs were colored brown with the dirtiest fingers you'll ever see. i just shouted some offensives at the arm(for it was the only visible part then), very arrogant me, and both entities vanished. i wonder if there is some karma on what i did. i just hurled some offensive on an elemental. or a fae. i wonder what i did to make the arm grabbed me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/7.gif) the two maybe lovers, jealousy perhaps? they are are just pulling a prank, right? but the sidhe you describe seems to be enlightened and high entities, surely, all of them are? why would they waste their time on a silly prank like that? if they are enlightened, they are above mere jealousy... hooboy, that was my first, and i made a wrong impression... Not so .... from what I have learned of them, the Sidhe have a hierarchy just like us humans .... there are the low life in their society too .... they are not all enlightened high entities ....

They exist on frequency/dimensions which are part parallel and part overlapping to ours but which have a much wider frequency range than ours. I sense their frequency range encompasses the frequencies us humans call the spirit world ... however they don't have the glamour known as death which divides up their frequencies ....

Death to them is an amusement and a curiosity and many of the sidhe appear to humans I suppose to learn how we cope with being in a set physical body .... they too are in bodies but bodies which cope better with the shift between the frequency ranges ....

It is a fascinating society they exist in ....

The entity with the fist and the hairy arm sounds like it was actually not part of the same frequency range as the woman ... I'm wondering if members of the sidhe society can be haunted by other frequency ranges? They have the lower mischievious ones which the entity could be ....

But, the interesting thing is, my contacts suggest that the entity is in fact an ex-human who latched on to the woman???? I tend to disagree ... but its another concept to think about?

What is your draw to Merlin ... if you have any? I ask that because somewhere in all of this I sense the old cantankerous fool .... I know his smell well!!! The description you have given me could be Merlin in his Wild Man Of The Woods phase .... he had relationships with sidhe women in that phase ... for he was a walker between the worlds and may well visited the sidhe .... the sidhe women being attracted to the magic of human necromancers (no its true) ....

Thought I'd put that in the melting pot and open myself to verbal chastisement!
