Hello! Nice to meet you all. My name is Loris, I live in Wales and Oxford, and I'm a writer (my most glamorous gig at the moment is compiling pub quiz questions).
I've been enjoying the site a lot - it's a real treasure-trove! - and I wanted to 'meet' some fellow users as I'm fairly isolated in my majickal studies in 'real life'. My main areas of interest are alchemical/hermetic, and I'm also intrigued by heretical and mystic sects of established religions, and in watching the blossoming of modern-day Wicca, which I think people in later generations will look back on as a historic event. That said, I'm pretty voracious, and will read (and waffle!) about anything.
I have far too much spare time, and in it I like to surf the web, mosey round secondhand bookshops, play with my intercontinental ballistic dog, and lie on the sofa channelling aspects of Hypnos.
Finally, I think smilies are cool. I have no idea what this one is or what it is doing, and I hope it's not subliminally rude. (IMG:
