I spent my weekend in a cold basement with a magickian – Lon Milo Duquette, in fact, about thirty of us endured this dark, cold place and as we listened and participated in the workshop, it turned into a place of wonder, a place of vision and hope even, although it didn’t get any warmer.

We listened to brief histories of the Goetic and Enochian systems, we worked experientially: chanting Enochian calls, scrying the aethyrs from TEX to NIA, examining Goetic sigils and briefly starting to design our own triangles and circles as a preparation for the time when some will want to summon a favoured Goetic daemon or others of us will want to improve on our own magickal workings.

At ‘story time’, although most of us had read Lon’s My Life with the Spirits and the well-known Chapter 16: Evocation of Orobas, we wanted to hear it from the horses mouth so to speak and sat silently rapt as it entered our consciousness for the second and in some cases third or more times - it is one of my favourite stories from adulthood and I was happy to enjoy it yet again; move over Ms Rowling, we had the real thing going down there.

Tired and happy, we came away with handouts, a Sigillum Dei Aemeth fridge magnet, signed books or indeed, anything we could get Lon to sign and memories of a weekend that will inspire us, maybe for years to come.

If anyone is interested in receiving mailings to keep up to date with Lon’s workshops and events, join the list on his website here:

Greetings!
Thanks for the link and nice story. Mr. Duquette has always sounded interesting and I'd love a chance at meeting him! Your weekend was far more productive than mine! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Lon was also having drinks in a pub near to where the workshop was on a Monday night, there was a meeting last night, but I was unable to go and I believe his last one is next Monday.

There were also private events related to the Order for members to attend.

If any of you get the chance to attend any event by him, even if you have to stretch a limited budget, I would do so, he presents very well, he has a clear voice and a great sense of humour as well as being down to earth and inspiring too : )

I attended an all day workshop by Lon on the OTO mass, it was quite awesome! He also added a great deal of humor. There is nothing like a lodgemaster that can actually make fun of the great beast! I had only been to an OTO mass twice before this occasion and learned a LOT about the mass, and a lot of great insights into the symbology of it.
Afterwards Lon and his wife (oh I am bad at names) performed the mass, was quite cool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
We all were able to talk with Lon during the dinner later that evening, he is quite down to earth and a damn nice guy like you say!
Unfortunaly Lon's workshops were in another city, so I was not able to attend his goetia and enochian ones <pout>

Lon's wife is called Constance - seems appropriate and makes it sound like she is the balancing force in this couple doesn't it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I have a book written by him, it is quite good.
Its a book on the crowley toth tarot and it goes into great detail about each card. It's the best book on tarot i know about.

Lon also put out his own tarot deck which I use quite a bit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Anyone who can put strawberry sundies on the 2 of cups card has got to be cool LOL. That deck comes with a book as well. It is quite interesting, included Enochian and Goetia correspodances to the tarot cards!
Hehe about Constance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) She is super nice as well. Yeah funny how that works, the woman usually is <g>

I am wondering if you would have enough people interested in your area, if there were, you could maybe approach his team of event organizers and have your area put on the list for events.

Since he is OTO, maybe there are events with the order that you could go to.

Just some thoughts here. I have no idea how they choose their locations.

my weekend with lon was full and extra ordinary, of course he was preaching to a small class of 6. he called upon my tallents to be amedion for 2 spirits during that.

he discussed many points i have not expanded upon.

to draww the spirit nigh, b c the seal is on your face LOL

i drew in color crown upn the mirror...

thst spirits seal.

the method is great but relived of the maddnaess!!1

this is the technique.

alchohol warnings: unless you are a master you wil expell too much

the energy ball in the center if the hands is fine unless you find a capable transeferant.

otherwise, the devil, death, is still west!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
